In the evening it's very cool without AC. The sound of the water. Running thru the river is very calming. The Lourdes Grotto is just across the the stream connected by a bridge just in front of the Property. It you plan to stay in Lourdes for the procession and evening mass. It's better to find a hotel where you could walk about 5-7 mins. Especially at night. We loved our stay here. Merci beaucoup.

The Sainte Marie is conveniently located near the Pont St Michel right at the entrance to the Sanctuaries and overlooks the rapidly flowing river Gave. The sound of rushing water is everywhere which, for me at least, is very soothing. Accomodation can be booked on a B&B basis or full/half board. For those on a budget there are rooms which can booked for 3 or 4 sharing. The hotel has recently been refurbished and all rooms are en suite and have satellite TV and air-conditioning. There is a hotel TV lounge at the reception level which has comfortable armchairs and coffee tables. A small bar next to the reception serves a cosy seating area where you can relax after a long day. For visitors with cars there is a locked car park in front of the hotel.

We were within walking distance from the sanctuary, many restaurants and shopping. The room was spacious, modern and very clean. We had a balcony view which was absolutely breathtaking. My wife had the regular entrees, too good too and prices were very affordable compared some of the not so good places all around us. The breakfast buffet was insanely good too. All the fruits, entrees tasted different in the best possible way when comparing to American hotels. Fresh, home grown, everything has a better taste. The exercise room and spa is top notch. Two nights in Lourdes, France…read more.. Our friend booked this hotel for us - maybe because of the complimentary breakfast. I liked the toaster to make your own toast! The orange juice was great! Croissants were much appreciated! Free street parking and parking lot was within walking distance. Rooms were compact and clean. There was only one packet of shower gel on the sink, so I asked for more at the reception desk and found more shower gel in our bathroom after dinner! Thank you! We also found fresh towels in our room in the afternoon and our used towels were taken away. The stairs were a challenge as we were on the third floor. There is an older style lift that you can enter between floors, so you need to drag luggage up half a floor and pull the luggage down half a floor. This hotel is situated near many shops and restaurants. However, it's almost furthest away from the Grotto and Basilica. For me, walking a mile to and from each way - three times a day wasn't fun. For example, yesterday, we walked over for the bath, returned for breakfast, walked back for sightseeing, then returned to the hotel for lunch, and went back for adoration, followed by 6pm mass, and finally walked back again to the hotel for dinner. (Three round trips) I didn't want to walk back for the candle light procession since we did that the night before. I would maybe get a closer hotel, but then the car would be further away. Hmmm... but we didn't need the car until we left because we walked everyday.

The place is small and the room was even smaller, this not the place for tall or overweight people, you won't fit on the beds or on the shower. The elevator is only accessible from a half floor walk through the stairs, so it is not wheelchair friendly. The stairs are old and you can easily fall in them as they are irregular. Wifi is free and available. Parking is on the street and I you ask for directions you're not far from a free street parking.

I must have emailed them several times for questions before our arrival and with the time difference, my emails are answered within 24 hours. The moment we checked in, we were greeted by Doris. Her sweet smile welcomed us warmly and made sure we got everything we need to make our stay comfortably. It was nice to meet her as we communicated few times through emails. She gave us information for the restaurants, gave us coupon for some establishments, the entrance to Grotto, wifi info, etc. We had the Triple room and is quite big compared to the typical european (small) rooms. It has a large bath tub & shower. It was perfect as my mother has limited mobility and using the european tub means it will be difficult for her. The whole bathroom is "senior friendly" (meaning it has handrails in the toilet & portable chair in the shower. It was very spacious. We had a double & single beds in the room and it was comfortable beds; we slept as were at home. There are 2 elevators for usage & one is larger than the other. There is no restaurant during our stay; however, the cafe (see suggested Breakfast & Dinner picture) at the next hotel is connected at the Panorama. You can access it through outside too. We have our breakfast here always as we have our favorite & wonderful person "Esperanza". Sometimes we have our full breakfast or just plain croissant that are to die for along with the cappuccino with fresh crema! We have our dinner here too as there are only few restaurants that are open for dinner near the area. We prefer to have dinner at this cafe as it is fast and excellent service. Though the food choices are limited, it's bearable. As for Lunch, definitely our favorite cafe is "Cafe Les Brancardiers"! This cafe I believe they serve breakfast too but we always come to this cafe for lunch. They have wide selection of food and definitely SUPERB!!!! This is our ultimate FAVORITE! Unfortunately, they close around 3pm or 4pm; otherwise, we will have our dinner here too. We tried the other restaurant "Sauveur Restaurant" but VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED with the service. We got there just when they opened and ordered immediately. We had the pre-fix menu and it took them 30 mins to serve the salad then another 30 mins for the main entree. The other table had their food immediately even though we were there first. After having disappointed with the food, we decided not to have our dessert (even it comes with it).Our waiter never came back to our table as he knew we were upset with his service. After we paid, it took them again another 15 mins before we got our change. We had to hail someone just to get their attention. REALLY BAD SERVICE...I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS AT ALL! This is the only BAD experience in our trip. The Grotto's side entrance is about less than a mile away, very convenient from the hotel. Big thanks to all the staff of Hotel Panorama and most especially to Doris! Overall, one of the best hotels we've stayed and the next time we're in Lourdes, we will definitely stay in the hotel again. Excellent hotel & staff!

Unfortunately the room had no fridge but the staff was hospitable to provide ice or hot water if you asked them. They even helped me to freeze my ice pack for me. There's no air conditioning, we open the window for fresh air & & a lovely view. It can get quite noisy at night as there's a pub across the hotel. Check in & check out was easy & there's an elevator for your convenience. I highly recommend this hotel!!!

I was very happy with the accommodations - clean, modern, spacious . Although I was sharing the room with one other, it could have easily held up to 6 people (for those traveling as a family, for instance). Bathroom alert: Most of European bath tubs are much higher than what most Americans might be used to, and this was no different. Do be careful when using the tub and showering. There was a lift from the ground floor to the lobby - very convenient, and suited to those who may need wheelchair access. At the end of the trip, perfect for loading luggage!
