We enjoyed a good classic French dinner here, with fine wine and friendly service. Nicely set in the interior of the old fort.

It was located so close to every winery on the Left Bank, so extremely worth it for location purposes alone. We could have saved by staying in Bordeaux for all 3 nights of our wine tasting excursion, but honestly it was worth not having to drive 1 hour to Left Bank, wine taste all day, and drive another 1 hour back. You want to enjoy your time in Paulliac!! The hotel itself was so charming though! There were several living room areas that you could relax in, a swimming pool, and even a small vineyard area with tables and service should you want something small to eat. It was extremely relaxing, and although there really is nothing to do on the Left Bank except wine tasting, it would have been nice to stay another day to enjoy this beautiful and charming hotel. Our room was very modern and cute. The swimming pool had plenty of lounging chairs - wish we had time to retreat here, but we simply didn't have the time. The service was so amazingly sweet and genuine here!!! The front desk attendant was so accommodating for us. We told her that we had an early train in Bordeaux at 7:45am, and she gave us helpful information on suggesting when to leave. Also, because of our early check out time, she offered to have breakfast and coffee ready take-away for us! When we checked out at 6am the next morning, we could smell the coffee when we walked in the hallway down to the lobby, and the breakfast pastries were ready prepared for us in a box, and the box was WARM and the croissants were delicious!!!! Wow. I wish we could have stayed a little longer to enjoy the real breakfast. Take me back!!!!!!

The nice pool and the well-equiped gym (opened for one customer at a time during COVID) were good additions to an otherwise flawless stay. Other Michelin starred restaurants are SO attentive. You don't even have a moment to look for a server, they are already at your table with whatever they anticipated you may need. The staff here is super lovely, very sweet and friendly, but at times I found myself trying to get their attention. The menu is great. The use of oyster foam for multiple dishes was amazing. They are also very accommodating with dietary restrictions. It was strange for me to have the same exact potato pancake thing here that I have had at another Michelin restaurant. Looked the same, tasted the same (which tasted like heaven) but I was slightly disappointed by the lack of creativity. Wine pairing was good. Could have been better considering we are smack dab in the middle of vineyards, but it was good. I REALLY liked the staff, but otherwise had lukewarm feelings about this place. Dinner and wine came out to about $240 USD.

This reasonably priced golf resort is adjacent to the first growth Chateau Margaux and, at one time, was part of the wine estate. It is a large 100-room property; however, due to the spacious rooms and floor layout, there remains a good deal of privacy. The on-site restaurants are good - the Gastronomic Restaurant is formal; the Brasserie du Lac is casual. Both maintain decent wine lists. Since the region is the French countryside where businesses close early, for late-night diners, the hotel's restaurants are a welcomed respite. The hotel's best amenity is the spa. Not only does the on-site spa offer full massage and beauty treatments; there is also a heated, indoor swimming pool, dry sauna and a Turkish hammam included with a hotel room reservation.
Wonderful spot to stay while you are in Bordeaux. Location location location, service, service,…read moreservice!!!! Rooms are small but normal for European standards. What it lacks in size it more then makes up for in all other areas. The breakfasts were very good with a huge selection of items. You can have specialty coffees if you like. Charcuterie to egg and speciality breads. One service side sweet and the other salty. Love the chic urban design and youth oriented feel. Although I am no longer young it appealed to my " young at heart "energy and the staff is sure to make sure you are comfortable and well cared for. Take a drink on the roof top terrace if you get the chance the views are stunning and great drink selection. Great shops and restaurants within a very short walking area. Be sure to try one of the local restos (looks in the day like there is nothing around in the day but late afternoon look for it to all come to life. One place a short walk away was an awesome Nature/Bio wine bar (Comptoir St. Vincent ) we fell in love with. (Antoine the Gérant) will guide you with his knowledge, expertise, and laidback way to sample wines he has selected from his own personal travels. Worth an evening stop and then head to Bourse for the magic night shot. Check in and out were a breeze and when we had arrived very early the staff secured our baggage so we could get on with exploring this great city. Will definitely hunt for more Mama Shelters in other Cities we visit. Saw there is one In Prague ........ next stop maybe?

They gave us a room for disabled people. The sink was super low. I am a 6ft man and it was not a great experience to use this bathroom. 5. This hotel offers a breakfast for 16 euros/pp which is a total rip-off. Don't be fooled and go to a nice bakery for 4x less. there are many around the hotel. The pros: 1. Friendly staff 2. The bed was comfy 3. Location was OK. Walking to downtown is around 30mins. By tramway it is around 15mins. 4. Modern hotel 5. $10USD parking is a fair deal if you have a fancy car. You can also park in the street for free, and there are plenty of spots. Overall I would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel until they fix the issues that I had during my stay. This hotel has a good potential but for now is far away from a 4-star hotel.
