Rooms are clean, and the shower stall even includes a pull-out clothes line if you want to wash your own clothes. Breakfast was included with our stay, and there was a wide variety of food including yogurts, eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit, fresh pastries....and you can even see people going to breakfast in their bathrobes. Concierge was really nice, and each room included a complimentary bottle of water.

The staff here went so far as to help us book further hotels and figure out how to successfully stay at an apartment-like hotel that would have no staff on duty upon our arrival. The location is super quiet, no light pollution, beautiful farm-like landscape. The city it is located in a super tiny but delightful with the nicest people. The spa looked nice but we were only staying for a short time and didn't get the opportunity to utilize it. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit France.

Staff dog friendly and our room was huge with a great shower and beautiful views. One resident not so happy we had a dog in tow BUT seemed to not be aware in was a pet friendly hotel.even though they were French. We would go back in a heartbeat as the location was just gorgeous. Lots of lovely restaurants along the quay to eat at and some stunning walks. Great price for the stay and the breakfast was very generous and a great selection. Under cover secure parking also an added extra bonus but is quite a walk away if you are blue badge holders like me this was a struggle with a bag so drive the car as far as you can down to the hotel and unpack there first is my advice and also be aware no lift and lots of stairs - even to get to the reception at the entrance. All in all a real gem. Thoroughly recommend! X

Amazing and awesome! We stayed at Le Royal for two weeks…read morewith the whole family and had an incredible experience on all levels! We have stayed at all sorts of high end hotels over the years and Le Royal now ranks in our top 3. First and foremost, the service is stellar! The staff is very good and they anticipate all your needs. They are very proactive and will go beyond the call of duty to help on any topic. Second, the hotel and its grounds are gorgeous. Classic historical premises, incredible location by the beach front, expansive and flowery beautiful grounds... Last but not least, the food is succulent. They have two restaurants- Le Fouquet's and Le Ponton, which is on the beach. The breakfast buffet is one of the very best we have seen in terms of variety and quality. We will be back!

Older two star, family run hotel. Nice people. Not sure they speak any English but very nice…read morepeople. Lots of parking across the street. Great breakfast. Hint: the best way to the old city, cross the bridge you will see a street going up that looks like nothing. Go up there and there will be a sidewalk to the right which will go through an arch. Go up the stairs and you will be in the town square.
