A historic hotel in the Latin Quarter with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower. The rooms aren't much bigger than the elevator which had a 3 person maximum. We couldn't figure out where you'd put the third person though. We both enjoyed the breakfast. read more

The night reception staff were wonderful, the day staff was not well trained. The daily breakfast was very good and the staff were efficient. The room itself was dated, housekeeping did not replace supplies. I had to call the front desk twice to bring towels to my room. I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel. read more

The first thing you need to know is that this hotel is owned by Best Western. It explains a lot. The pathetic service at the front desk, the dining room staff frantically chasing down each customer that walks into the room to get their room number and name. They always get it wrong so you have to repeat it three times. The bossy Morrocan manager in the restaurant who tells you where she wants you to sit. (tries to make you get up in the middle of your breakfast if she thinks your table should be for someone else. Really?) The mirror falling off the wall in my bathroom, the AC that did not work. There's not one good room in this hotel. If you're on the courtyard there's a huge electric machine making noise all day and night with kids running around the courtyard screaming . Otherwise you're right on the street on one of the Busiest Streets Blvd., St Michel. Loud and dirty. this is quite literally one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at at a premium price. read more

With one girl behind the front desk chatting with a guest there were five of us waiting in line to check in. She seemed oblivious to the fact that we were there and didn't make any effort to acknowledge us and let us know she'd be right with us nor tell her colleague who was hiding in the back that she needed help. 10 minutes later he shows up Non-apologetically and starts to check us in. I have never seen such poor service in a hotel anywhere how they got four stars is beyond me. The pillows are cheap and hard and the furniture in the room is ancient (not in a good way). The headboard has stains on it and there is mildew in my bathroom. The sink in the bathroom is plastic like I would imagine them to be at the Holiday Inn. There is a loud machine in the courtyard so you have the pleasure of hearing it hum all night long. During the day you hear laughter and screaming in that courtyard not sure if it's the employees but it's not peaceful. I will never come back here. read more

My group arrived at the hotel in late April 2025 to discover the rooms did not have two beds, double does not mean two beds in Paris. We immediately checked out of the rooms, forfeiting the first night and expecting the refund for the remaining two nights. Well, to my surprise, it is August 2025 and we still have not received the refunds. One of our guests was approved for the refund in early July, but the refund has still not been processed. Balls were dropped left and right. This could have been a much better experience. Arrived at hotel at 5:00pm on Sunday from the train to check in. Beautiful front lobby with multiple staff smiling and ready to help when you arrive. We checked in, ran the card for the stay, filled out our out-of-country stay information and how long we would be here, along with our passports, then were given our room key. Good first impression. Second impression was going to be a surprise for my husband which was a box of macarons, bottle of champagne, and a rose on the bed, when we opened the door to the room. This came out in a survey about one week prior to the stay. We opened the door to NOTHING! Including a very disappointing room. We asked for a queen room with a view and instead got what essentially was a studio with a window overlooking a side street. That was disappointment #2. #3 is a tiny bathroom, and we're small! We didn't pay for the smallest room either. We even wanted to pay more for some "upon arrival" items. So, I give it a day or two to see if the staff would realize. They absolutely had no idea. I emailed the staff who sent out the survey and asked what happened. Maybe it was dropped off at the wrong room? Maybe they just accidentally forgot? Nope. The ball was completely dropped. I got an email back from someone that said "I wasn't working that day that you arrived or it would have been done. Please accept my apologies." ... ... I'm sorry, but is no one else doing those small tasks in preparation for the guests that took the additional time to fill out those pre-arrival surveys and want to pay you more for some extra specialties? We were disappointed and pointed it out to staff. They didn't seem to care during our 4 night stay and didn't even try to change anything. All we received was "We sincerely apologize." That came from pretty much all of the staff. The stinger was one evening, we got on the elevator with a staff member that was going up to a room to drop off the welcome letter and treats that another customer had filled out the survey for. One mid-morning, we called down asking if we could have a bottle of Champagne sent up to the room. The room service response from the front desk we got on the phone was "We aren't doing room service right now." ... Why not? Your brochure pamphlet in the room says 24/7 room service. Another false! One of the infamous France train strikes happened on the day we were supposed to leave for another region of France to see family. We decided to just stick it out in Paris for the duration of our trip. Instead of asking this hotel if we could be accommodated for a couple more nights due to the train strike, we quietly selected another hotel in another area of Paris due to the insincerity of this hotel staff and the negligence and falseness of the website. TL:DR - Fake advertising on the website. Rooms not what they look like in photos. Staff sincere at desk but not in person if needed. False advertisement everywhere. No 24/7 room service. Staff doesn't care to make things right. Not even going to try to settle this straight because nothing will come of it. Do not recommend staying at this location. read more

This is an excellent hotel right in the middle of where you need to be for tourist. In Paris this hotel is upscale for reasonable prices. are more. This hotel has a beautiful lobby, restaurant. The room was beautiful and clean. On our honeymoon and they went all out. We had rose petals on the bed with champagne and chocolates waiting in our room and on the bed. Even the bath had rose petals. Located a few blocks from several tourist sites including Notre Dame cathedral, Luxembourg and Seine River. This would be my top choice when I return to the city in the future. Nothing negative to say. Of coarse they do have the typical small elevators but it gets the job done. read more

Absolute worst company. My family and I were looking forward to our 2020 vacation to Paris, until the global pandemic shut everything down. This hotel will not refund my money. It's the only hotel we are staying at that refuses to refund. In fact, it's the only company that refuses to refund. Flights, trains, hotel in London - all refunded. This hotel would rather quote the "court's ruling n° 2020-315 of March 25th, 2020" allows them to offer credit for up to 18mos. So here we are.... devastated about our trip and to add insult to injury our money is now being held hostage. read more

We loved our stay at he Hotel, everything was amazing. The only reason we are not giving it a 5 star was the fact that 2 of the 3 nights getting back in was a process. We waited over 15 to 20 minutes for the night guy to open the door. We were forced to bang on all the windows for a long time in order for him to open the door. If it had only happened once we wouldn't have been upset, but because it happened again we found this unacceptable. Spoke with the daytime staff before check out and they comped our breakfast. I expected a more appropriate compensation. Also, the WIFI did not work. Bottom line, we did enjoy the hotel, but were anxious each night we returned about whether or not we could simply enter. This situation needs to be corrected the management as vigorously as possible. read more

Great little Parisian hotel right in the Latin Quarter, which is my favorite part of Paris. From here the Jardin de Luxembourg is a two minute walk Saint Sulpice is around the corner and Notre Dame is about a fifteen minute walk. Also close by is the Luxembourg Metro station from which all of Paris is easily accessible. If you like to drink, The Latin Quarter/Saint Germain area is where you want to stay as there are tons of awesome cafes and bars littered all over the area. The hotel itself is nothing particularly remarkable. The rooms are tiny and it's located on a side street off the main road. When you see the place you might think to yourself, "My God what the hell did I get myself into?" But the rooms are clean and comfortable and if there is ANY place in the world where you should not be spending time in your hotel room (except to sleep), it's Paris. I would take this hotel for it's location any day over one of the overpriced tourist traps along the Champs Elysees. read more

Not as ghetto as I expected. When my mom told me we were staying at a Best Western, I was scared. But, this Best Western is pretty sweet. The beds are a little old and so are the carpets. But the bathrooms and the dining room are nice. The building from the outside is also really nice. They have breakfast for 14 euros in the morning and an espresso machine for 2 euros. The front desk is also very helpful. They made tour reservations for us and also recommended restaurants for us to eat at. The location is also convenient. It's right by the Sorbonne and the Musee de Moyen Age. read more

LOVE THIS HOTEL! The area is quiet and we had such a lovely room. Since there was 4 of us, we were able to get a joining room so we could all be comfortable. The bathrooms were spacious and the decor was amazing. Shops and restaurants are walking distance from here, just around the corner. Worst hotel ever , this place won't give you a refund nor credit for a future stay had to cancel because my flight was cancel because of the COVID19 . My trip was schedule for next week and Paris went under lockdown yesterday. They don't care about people health they are more focus in making money . I explain to them many times I didn't want to cancel my booking but no flights where leaving USA to Europe. Even do Paris is in lockdown they want me to fight a dispute with my bank they don't want me to postpone for future days . The location was fabulous, too. Very convenient to walk to most of the major sights in Paris. I stayed here for 7 nights October 2016. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Even though it was tight quarters, the room was very functional, and I was happy to have stayed. I'm a private person, so I never let room service in to clean my place up the whole time I was there. So I can't vouch for that. However, the staff went the extra mile to make sure my stay was a good one. And the breakfast that was included was top notch as well. I had a small, but inviting balcony on my room, and that was also spectacular. It's in a great location for all the touristy stuff in Paris. read more

Just completed my second stay here and figured it was time to review it! First of all, my fellow Americans, Best Western is not a scary brand in Europe. Au contraire! They have taken over a ton of small hotels and buildings in great locations in Paris, and offer a far more upscale experience than the brand connotes back home. So - don't fear the blue and yellow logo! Next up - the staff. Super friendly and helpful. Most speak excellent English. The concierge was able to handle email requests prior to arrival in English as well as in my grammatically stunted French. They upgraded us to a nicer room because we were celebrating our anniversary. Classy! Now on to the room and its amenities... The rooms vary wildly, this is an old building and full of character so you never know what you're going to get. One thing I can promise is that your room will be small, but I've been in worse in Paris! My first room had a window in the bathroom so it was full of light, but my second room was kind of dark. Both rooms overlooked the street and had French doors (what else would they have in France?) opening out to a little tiny terrace. Very nice to get some fresh air in the room. Closets in both cases were very small and had a curtain instead of a door. I have never stayed in a standard room; I bet they are teensy tiny. I upgraded myself 1-2 levels both times and therefore was able to find a spot on the floor wide and long enough to do a little yoga practice. Beds were comfortable, pillows slightly less so. King size beds may be two twins pushed together so ask for a queen if that bothers you. Desk space is limited. Bathrooms are simple but pretty clean, and everything works. You will only get soap and shampoo here, no moisturizer or shower caps (although they have them downstairs upon request) and only 2 towels. They get bonus points for ensuring there is a power outlet near a mirror in case you want to plug in a curling iron or something and do your hair. The wifi is included in the room rate and can be used with as many devices as you want, which I really appreciate in a hotel. It worked fairly well, not as speedy as you might hope but decent enough. Location, location! The location is a great compromise against price; if you're willing to walk 10-15-30 minutes, you can get to lots of places that tourists want to be. It's super close to the Quartier Latin and slightly less close to St. Germain (maybe a 10 minute walk to some really great shops and cafés). The Jardin du Luxembourg is a few blocks away, which is great if you want to check out the park or have kids who need to blow off some steam or sail a little boat around the pond. It's also a longer (but very pleasant) walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame, or the Ile St. Louis, which is really convenient. A bit of a longer walk to the Musée d'Orsay. The Sorbonne is literally across the avenue. The only thing it is NOT convenient to is the Métro, it's maybe a 10 minute walk to Odéon and a minute or two more to St. Michel. I didn't really mind that except when it was raining. It is also very convenient to the Luxembourg stop on the RER B, also, which goes straight to the airport, so more bonus points for that. I would definitely recommend this place if you don't want to spend hundreds of euros on your room but don't want to stay in some totally random neighborhood either. read more
