The first thing I noticed on entering the store is not only do they sell bikes, but you can hire them too. This is a nice option if you want something a bit better than the CityCycle. The staff were friendly and not pushy, and it didn't take long for me to walk out with a swish new light, on sale too.

The selection was great, we told them what we wanted and they pointed us in the right direction, from the bike, to the helmet and even the drink holder. The value is really good compared to Brisbane bike stores. they try to sell you all the bells and whistles when you don't need it. 99 bikes don't try to sell you something you don't need. However I would recommend against buying from the $2 store near Coles. I bought an item and a matter of minutes after leaving discovered it was broken, I took it back with recept and was told there was nothing they could do since they "don't do refunds" and after pointing out that Australian Consumer Law means they must provide a refund or replacement if such a thing happens, I was told that it "didn't matter" and was ignored and shunned from the store.
