Best spot around for a quick bite to eat. They have excellent food very friendly staff there and very professional. It is usually packed on weekend nights, even with corona going on if you get takeout from them there's more than a chance that you will see at least two or three or maybe even four other orders. Whenever I go there I will typically get the Portuguese steak are usually get a medium and they always cook it perfectly, they have a wide variety of different foods. I truly think that even though they are not considered a steakhouse they know how to cook a good steak, for the most part it is seafood based restaurant. They have really good options for seafood I always love to order the Fried calamari and the grilled swordfish boat which comes with either pasta or seafood rice. Whenever you're going seafood or even getting a steak year you should always get the seafood rice it is definitely worth trying. The portion sizes they give are really great, you'll have plenty of food to eat and take home too! I would highly recommend going to this restaurant yourself. read more

Awesome portuguese food! The prices may seem a little pricey but they give huge portions. You are guaranteed to bring a box of leftovers home. When I walked in, I was surprised by how fancy the place was. Thought it was just a place to grab a quick bite. They start you off with great bread and this fantastic dipping sauce. I think it's called samosai sauce. It's a lil tangy with just a hint of spicyness. If you like seafood, come here!!! I got the baked seafood and God it was delicious. The salmon was regular buy the cod and scallops were insane! The cod has this peanut butter type filling. I can't explain it because I'm not a chef. My wait was quite long here because the "printer messed up" so my order wasn't taken down. I had to wait twice as long for my food. They gave me a free shot and a free glass so I'm happy. read more

Came here the other night on a double date. We were seated quick and the service was good. Bread was served warm with a spicy sauce and it was delicious. Started with Buffalo wings and shrimp Mozambique. Wings were super spicy, but delicious. Mozambique was very good. 3 of us ordered the Portuguese steak, and one seafood paella. The seafood dish was by far the best. To say that this is Portuguese food is a stretch. I've been to a lot of Portuguese restaurants and this definitely was not authentic. I know this was a Mexican restaurant before and it seems as though they just changed the menu and the name of the restaurant to cater to the demographic. Even the plates and some of the decor seemed as though they were leftovers from the previous restaurant. Our meal was almost $200 for 4 people with drinks and apps. I don't mind paying for a good meal but for this area and the food we were served I don't think it was worth it. read more

I had the pork alentagena which was excellent and my husband had the Portuguese steak. The steak was a big portion and the pork was very tender. We we also had the flan and espresso for desert. The flan we split it was a big portion which was smooth and creamy! We will definitely be coming back. read more

Third time back in the past month, Everything was just as good our first visit. Food was prepared perfectly again, my appetizer and entrée on my first visit were so wonderful, I have ordered the same meal every time I go back and have not branched out and tried any of the other items that also look great. Very busy place, was glad I had made an advance reservation. Our table was reserved and we were seated immediately. Booths are big and roomy. The waitress we had was personable and attentive throughout the meal. The menu has many options to choose from. The food was fresh, large portions and good. We live about 1/2 mile from IAlive, but just hadn't got around to eating here. We tried it out today, and it was very good! Most of the food is Portuguese type, but it's a large menu, there's something for everybody.I had a baked stuff shrimp bowl, my GF had some kind of pork and little neck dish. Both entrees were very good, and the shrimp were not overcooked into a "C" shape as you so often see. I would have maybe given them a 5...but my shrimp were ordered with spaghetti with red sauce...and came to the table with seafood rice instead. The seafood rice was very good, but it was still a mistake, I didn't mention it to our server. Service was very good. Give them a try, we will return. Recommended!!! read more

This gem has become one of our favorite places to go. The dipping sauce is unmatched anywhere with warm buns. My wife and I have tried almost the entire menu. Have not been disappointed and usually very pleased. The service is top notch. Always looking forward to going there, we go almost every week. Hate to say it but i'm not impressed.The only good thing was the mozambique sauce with the bread that was fresh and spicy! For my entree I got a steak sandwich and can't rave about it though. The bread was super soggy. Either they had it plated for too long or they need to get bread that's less flimsy. I would recommend using portuguese bread instead of using sandwich rolls. So I didn't eat the bread because it was way too wet and the steak was alright. Didn't have the best flavor could have used more garlic. My dads traditional steak plate was expensive and he said it was fatty and had hardly any flavor. Not only was the food not that good but they even messed up my order. I asked for portuguese style fries and they gave me regular fries. Small mistake but added to the already negative experience. Maybe they were having an off day but I've had much better elsewhere so I'll most likely not return due to the quality and the price. read more

We dined here on a recent Saturday night. We got there at 7:30 and were told it was an hour wait,but ended up being 40 mins,so not too bad. The bread and dipping sauce were tasty. My salmon was pretty good, a little dry.My husband was disappointed in his 28.00 steak. As he was cutting it, it looked like he needed a chain saw! It came with a sauce that was not very good. We went there for lunch today and we were greeted by a very pleasant hostess/waitress. We both ordered the short ribs for 14 dollars. I got mine with a side of pasta and my companion had the mashed potatoes. We were offered a warm crusty rolls and a delicious marinara type dipping sauce. The short ribs were so delicious, falling off the bone and the portion was HUGE! I have a full meal leftover. The pasta was good and also a good size portion. I would go again in a heartbeat. We went to this restaurant as a party of 10 for my birthday over the summer. I am a Rehoboth native, living in California now for over 20 years. This place is my new favorite restaurant. I used to hang out here when it was the Kozy Nook (not bragging lol). I was floored- the food here is second to none and they took very good care of our party. I'll be back over Thanksgiving weekend.
