They will squeeze every dollar they can from your insurance company for repairs (even if they don't do them) then uses the cheapest materials possible unless you want to pay extra. They literally said start picking out a countertop because it is going to break when redoing the cabinets. Also they only want insurance claims because they want the check directly from the insurance company so they can keep getting more money out of them. What happens then is after a big claim or two your insurance gets canceled and it is almost impossible to get a new homeowners policy. So risk it if you want to chance getting another insurance company to cover you. I am only giving 2 stars because they may throw out all the 1 stars. Don't take a chance with them read more

They did major damage to the tile in both bathrooms. Damage to the molding outside the bathrooms in the hallway. Installed shower heads well bellow what is standard. Im 6'2" and the shower head was below my shoulder. Did not do any caulking to prevent further water damage. Damage to paint around the house. Didn't reinstall the doors to one of the bathrooms correctly. Will not contact my landlord after several attempts about coming and fixing these issues. And I had 10000 dollars worth of personal items (mostly sentimental items) stolen from my home during repairs. They obvously dont care about who they hire/what subcontractors they work with. This business was recommended to me by a Flood Service company, that was recommended to me by my fantastic plumber. A nasty toilet leak initiated the drama. IAS Builders was called in to gut my bathroom so that Quick Dry Flood Services could dry and sanitize the bathroom slab and verify that no water was present elsewhere. The guys with IAS were very helpful, neat, concerned about laying down materials on my floor to protect it. They gutted the entire bathroom very efficiently and with obvious prior training and experience. Everything was clean when they left. Later, they returned to rebuild the bathroom. They repaired walls, painted, reinstalled the vanity, and laid a new floor with vinyl planks. Everything was returned to its original clean and sanitized condition. Again, they are pros and know how to do their jobs. The project manager and work supervisor were in close touch with me all the time. Trevor worked with me to involve (or not, in my case) an insurance claim agent. I was impressed with everyone's care, training, skills, and concerns for the rest of my house. I had No damage. Their finish work was excellent. Really nice young men doing what they are trained to do. Many thanks to all at IAS Builders. We loved working with IAS builders. They were friendly, responsive, and did excellent quality work. We had a plumbing leak in our kitchen which ended up getting under our floor boards. Since our entire first floor is continuous we had to replace the entire thing so it turned into a major project. The contractor assigned to us, Niko, was great at negotiating with our insurance company to see that we were able to get everything we were entitled to under our policy. Not only did we get a new floor but we also got all our cabinets refinished, a new counter top, and all our baseboards repainted. All the workers who came to our house were very respectful and friendly, and they did excellent quality work. IAS was great at staying within the budget they promised so there were no surprises or hidden fees that many other contractors slap on. Once the work got started and negotiations with our insurance company complete, they finished everything within a few weeks. As a side note. My wife and I had a newborn during this whole process and so we were mostly living on the second floor of our home while all this was going on. I am having my kitchen repaired after a neighbor's pipe broke causing water damage in my kitchen. IAS was referred by the company we called (QuickDry). Even before they came to give an estimate, I was provided with a form to sign, which is usual. What was unusual was that it said that if I decided to not use them (after signing the form), I would have to pay them $1500. Of course, I did not sign and told them so. They replied saying it is OK to not sign, that I can do it later before they start the work. Then Trevor came and took all the measurements. He was very nice and gave me some tips of how to deal with the insurance. The next day I received an email with the repair estimate: $35K to repair three cabinets, not including the top!!! On top of that, the estimate was a one liner. When I spoke to Trevor to tell him that the number was beyond ridiculous, he justified it as saying he uses the same software that the insurance uses, and that they are only allowed to add about 10% for profit, which is beyond ridiculous as a justification for an obviously jacked up price. He also said that if I wanted to see the details, I had to sign the agreement (and be locked with the $1500 clause). This morning the adjuster from my insurance company came and told me that he had terrible experiences with IAS and that he would not use them. To summarize: 1. Sleazy tactics. Make sure you don't sign their form, or you will be stuck with them. 2. Ridiculously overpriced. $35K for a job that should probably be around $10K or less. read more

AVOID, and you're welcome. Our bathroom had water damage. We needed to replace the flooring and shower in the bathroom. The company lost was of its key employees and never returned to put on the shower doors or close out its punch list items. I still have plastic stapled to our bathroom walls, paint damage, and a shower without a door. They abandoned the job in September 2022. IAS was hired to fix dry wall in a utility closet where there was water damage due to a leaky hot water tank. But, twice, they did not lock my security gate to my property ... even after brining it to their attention the first time. Then, they had to move heavy furniture and take a screen off a window. They left this for me to move back!! I had no idea, that they expect me to move a heavy dresser and put a screen back in a second story window. I've never done that before in my 65 years! Then the shelf they put in to hold the water tank and furnace was incomplete. The front part that supports the now hard to open door is missing. read more

If I could give zero stars it still wouldn't do it justice. This experience has been a NIGHTMARE. Take from it what you will. Gloria must be the only solid employee yet I've never spoken with this woman. One could be so lucky apparently! My water heater burst March 27th 2021. Flood Busters came out within a few hours and went to work. They recommended IAS Builders. Huge mistake! I was contacted rather quickly from IAS, had someone come out, take pictures and measurements and the estimate report was sent back to the insurance company. Like the other reviewers, that's where it came to an all stop with "quick and professional" anything. I had started working with Billy, the PM, and he explained "the new process" with the insurance/mortgage companies regarding the checks being issued and it being the responsibility of the homeowner vice the contracting company. The contract was signed April 27th with an expected completion date of May 27th...May 27th 2021 that is. However at this rate I'll be lucky to have it completed May 27th 2022. My unexpected pack out happened May 17th. I was at work and explained to Billy several times I'm not able to have my phone on me in the building and contact me via email instead. So I came out to my car after work and saw a message asking me if there was anything that needed to be left out from the pack out. Well, I never received the message until after the fact and came home to all of my families shoes being packed up that were by the front door. Ok, whatever, should only be a few weeks, no big deal. Ha! I also came home to my garage being packed out with boxes. Which would've been fine, however, they dumped them in the stall I park in when I have a tandem stall they should've placed everything in so I could still pull into my garage. So my son and I moved everything to the other stall, again, not a big deal. Well, in addition to part of my living room now in my garage (no shoes however), I walked in my house to find every window with the exception of one, wide open. For what??? After noticing my windows, I also noticed a part of the floor ripped up and all the wood just left there. I have a 6 year old who has Down Syndrome so needless to say I can't have wood particles all over. May 20th the floors started getting torn up. By May 27th I was down to a cement slab. An initial $1000 deposit was made to begin work but without any more release of funds from the mortgage company everything came to an all stop. That's an entirely separate issue!!! I'm fully aware of this "new process", mortgage companies not wanting to release funds until work is completed because contractors not doing the job, but come on people. Anyway, I digress. It wasn't until August 11th that floors started to go in. So from May 27th to this point I've had no furniture, no downstairs powder room, no television and no flooring on either my downstairs or staircase. Please remember my water heater burst March 27th and I had a signed contract on April 27th with an expected completion of May 27th. So now, it's September 23rd, Billy has since quit the company, Issac has taken his place as PM, my toilet is still sitting in my unfinished front room, trash everywhere, the flooring is messed up and needs fixing before it can be completed, no baseboards, no paint, no furniture, no TV, no carpeting on my stairs, and I'm being told "without any money I can't pay my employees". Who doesn't carry money on the books to pay their employees while guaranteed insurance money continues to come in from god only knows how many people in my same situation?! I would never recommend this "business" to anyone. From false promises, to no shows, to no returned phone calls, to only caring when the next check comes in, it's just been a nightmare and then people wonder why they go out of business. Steer clear folks! Oh and carry a home warranty to avoid this nonsense next time! read more

Poor follow up. Communication between lead and project Manager and customer (me) was very poor. I reported issues Including safety issues when project was complete and was basically' Ghosted. I had initial contact with Christian W. , but as the contact Continued over the Christmas Holidays, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. However once into 2023 I never heard another word. If you ever use Quick dry services, ask them for another referral as they will Refer only to IAS builder's. I Had IAS builders in 2018 Referred by Quick Dry and again in 2022. Final outcome in both instances was poor. I would not recommend or use IAS builders again. read more

HANDS DOWN WORST EXPERIENCE working with a home remodeling/repair company. Read CAPS FOR HIGHLIGHTS IF ITS TOO LONG OF A READ. This company was provided by the dry-out team. We had water damage in both bathrooms from a bursted cast iron pipe. IAS was hired to do sub-flooring and other minimal tasks in both bathrooms. It started out good but went down hill at a STEAP rate. We had a 14 day time line to do both bathrooms due to insurance and they agreed. On the insurance side they literally got flagged, adding another step to this long process (USAA Insurance adjuster). This never happened with the company who worked on insurance claims for our rental unit and they were able to get us a higher payout from insurance for a single and smaller bathroom. There was blobs of drywall filler on the floor and inside supply line valves. Tiling the floor took 5 days to start and when it was finished the FLOOR WAS NOT LEVELED at all. The tiles were so RIDICULOUSLY RISEN the corners and sides can be felt when walking over it. The tiles have no even spacing and they even filled a damaged transition molding with grout after they said they would replace the transition molding for both baths. In the scope of work they stated and charged us for 2 full coats of paint on all 3 walls of both baths, however they only color matched the spots that were damaged or drywalled. IAS did not even ask if we were okay with just color matching and despite only color matching they did not adjust the price for the work actually completed. WE WERE CHARGED FOR WORK THAT WAS CLEARLY NOT DONE, when we called they agreed they did not do those items listed. When we called OUR CONCERNS WENT ON DEATH EATS, before and after the inspection we agreed mutually that there would be a refund on the items not completed. THEY HAVE YET TO REFUND US FOR THE WORK NOT DONE AND ARE PUSHING US TO LET THEM RE-DO THE FLOORING THEY MESED UP. Although we've brought up the refund many times and it is always dismissed. We keep being told that they have the supplies repurchased and want to redo the flooring. However last time it took a full week. IAS WITH NO EXAGGERATION, WENT A WHOLE WEEK...7 DAYS, WITHOUT DOING A SINGLE THING TO OUR HOME AFTER THEY HAD ALREADY STARTED THE WEEK PRIOR. We have a ring camera and can see when they come in and out. Saying IAS HAS LACK OF URGENCY, NON-EXISTENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS and NO consideration for a family who is literally living in airbnbs awaiting the completion of work is an understatement. IN 4 WEEKS THEY HAD NOT MANAGED TO PURCHASE THE BATHROOM VANITY, we ended up purchasing the ourselves on their very last day of "work completion" because there was NO WAY WE'D LEAVE THAT UP TO THEM AFTER THEIR TRACK RECORD. THE TILES WERE PURCHASED LOCALLY because we had only a week before we'd no longer have housing accommodations. The tiles were due TO ARRIVE IN 4 DAYS, this was a big deal due to our timeline but understandably not in their control, HOWEVER they 100% should've COMMUNICATED that to us as we only had 7 days. IF THEY WOULD'VE UPDATED US, we would've gone and picked it up ourselves as we have a pickup truck. IAS let us down BIG TIME. We were stressed about their LACK OF EFFORT IN pretty much EVERY ASPECT and were constantly having to call in and ask why they were not working or if we needed to extend our Airbnb again due to how long this 4 week job was taking. They assumed a 14 day timeline for job completion, however PROCEEDED TO WASTE more than 8 days BY NOT SHOWING UP OR BEING PROACTIVE in buying materials like the vanity AND AGAIN NOT A SINGLE UPDATE WITHOUT US REACHING OUT. We were LEFT IN THE DARK MANY TIMES. They said they would remove and reinstall towel rod, towel ring, lighting fixtures, and mirrors but that also wasn't done and they either painted around those items or just avoided them altogether. When we called to talk about the project communication between the project management and the office was nonexistent. MANY times we HAD TO REACH OUT and SCHEDULED A CALLBACK for the next day, THEY OFTEN DO NOT CALL BACK. Gloria is meant to resolve these issues and finally agreed to speak about a potential refund although it is painfully obvious SOME KIND OF REFUND IS UNDENIABLY DUE. SURPRISE, SURPRISE, we are on DAY 2 since we scheduled a call back and again NO CALLBACK. THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN A REOCCURRING NIGHTMARE. This person is supposed to clean up the contractor's wrongdoings and can't even keep her word or AT LEAST LET US KNOW SHE CAN'T CALL us during the agreed upon time. THE REFUND HAS YET TO BE ISSUED EVEN WITH THE TERRIBLE TILING ASIDE, there were tasks charged that were not started or completed resulting in hundreds out of the full $8,000 we've paid them being wasted. read more

Not only not good, they're downright horrible. They supposedly "fixed" my house. I have spent in excess of $15,000 RE FIXING their screwups/incredibly horrible paint job (two colors in one room, neither of which I'd chosen). I won't even describe the nasty yellow color (vice taupe) that they painted elsewhere. AND they didn't paint the ceilings because insurance doesn't cover that. Um, this was all self pay and you SHOULD have painted the ceilings. Of course they SHOULD have done lots of things that they didn't do. I can't stand this company and if you use them you were warned. Was recommended IAS by a colleague but the process left many opportunities for improvement. Luis was the PM and answered all calls and helped work with the Insurance company to get the quote approved. Everything seemed to go well until the work commenced. Along the way there were many items in the estimate that were skipped entirely or not completed as outlined (walls only half painted, fixtures not removed and reinstalled, door not touched, was charged for wallpaper when there was none, charged 10x as much as should have been for tile). The project was also supposed to be a two week project, however it ended up taking almost 7 with no reason for the delays ever provided. In the end it was the insurance company who paid extra money to IAS Builders but this definitely makes me question the trustworthiness of the company and the quality of work. I will not even go into details and I have had bad experiences just as the same as all the bad reviews here. Luis promised high quality work and excellent services.  But it was far from it.  Luis said he will come back to check on the progress and at completion. He never came back, I only met him once. I called him and provided feedback but no follow-up calls or to check the poor quality work were done at my house. I sent photo of thier poor work and even cc'd Isaac. I never let them in again to fix their poor work. I paid someone else to do fix thier work. read more
