My son has been a part of the ICare Family for over a year and a half now. He has grown so much from his experience there. From the advancement of his motor skills, to his ability to start walking and now approaching his current milestone of starting his potty training our overall experience has been nothing but positive. Billy, the owner, has a true passion for what she does and it shows. She plans the months out in advance and provides the schedule of activities to the families so that we are aware of what the kids will be working on so that we have the opportunity to work on the same items at home. She is so positive and is always looking for a way to challenge our children on a daily basis. If you are looking for a place that will allow your child to sit in front of a screen for 8 hours, this is NOT the place! My son gets a lot of attention and works daily on different projects and goes outside every moment the weather allows it. They go on field trips to places like the zoo, library and play places in the area. He is constantly exposed to different foods, languages and his social skills are one of the greatest things he has learned at ICare. Not only has my son progressed with his overall behavior, but he has also become quite the Yoga Guru, not really, but he definitely knows more yoga poses than most people we know:) Diana and Vivi also work at ICare and are among the best when it comes to caring for our children. They constantly showcase their patience, creativity and passions of working with children Diana brings such a creative talent with her and my son enjoys drawing and painting with her. Vivi is definitely one of the best at capturing the most important moments of our children's experiences at ICare. The gifts of art projects, pictures and videos that I receive from the both of them are priceless. They are definitely key to why ICare is so special to my family. iCare is an incredible family-like environment and second home for our child. Biljana has created something that is one-of-a-kind, truly because there are only a couple of other home-based daycares in the surrounding zip codes. The space is home-like, extremely clean, and welcoming and her team is warm, organized, communicative, and professional. She has maintained some of her team members for many years which is so beneficial for children to develop a relationship with their caregiver. Constant staff turnover is often a problem for larger centers. The programming at iCare is play-based which means children can truly have a childhood, without the unnecessary pressures of preschool readiness, yet language development and academic concepts such as colors, numbers, and letters develop at a steady pace. Most of the corportate daycares have same-age classrooms but iCare is multiage, with infants through toddlers. Our son is aware of younger babies and their needs (not to play rough with them for example) yet he also learns from the older students through their more advanced language and play. There is a lot research to back up multi-age settings for cognitive and social emotional development. Some things a prospective parent may wonder about: We are pleased that our son gets to play outside each day (weather permitting). They have circle time each day, each week has a theme, and there are regular field trips and activities. All of this is communicated monthly through emails with calendars. Biljana also encourages community between the families with regular opportunities to meet up. We have been in another home-based daycare prior to this and compared this that, the communication at iCare is top-notch. We receive photos each day and have a 1:1 conversation with a teacher for check-in and check-out. I believe iCare's value is in providing the organization and professionalism of a structured program but in a very small, family-like environment. Dear parents, It is our sincere pleasure to recommend Icare to you. Our 2,5 year old son was Biljana's first child and has been in Icare for almost a year. We could not have asked for a better care provider. She is wonderful, shiny, positive and caring person. We felt comfortable with her from the moment we met her and we never worry about our little one as we know that she treats our boy as we do. In addition to being attentive, Biljana engages kids with arts and crafts projects, reading and music. Each week there is a new theme and the kids look forward to it. She also plays the piano and our son adores their music time and sings the songs when he comes home. He has really matured and grown up over the months. He learned ABC's, numbers, shapes, colors and while at Icare he noticeable enriched his vocabulary. I have noticed particular improvement in his motor skills and social behavior. Biljana is focused on promoting good manners, tolerance for others and sharing. Our son made great friends and they look adorable together! Icare offers variety of outdoor activities including trips to museums, the zoo, the botanical garden and reading time at the library. Biljana is very excited to talk about their daily activities and sends pictures very often which always brings a smile to our face. I would like to add that she chooses the food menu with particular care. All food is organic with plenty of fruits, vegetables and fresh squeezed juices. My son often refuses to eat at home stating that he would like to eat " Bilja's lunch" so I know that the food must be delicious! To make long story short, we feel lucky and grateful for all the love and patience that Bilja provides to all of the kids. We really could not have asked for more. My experience with icare has been absolutely wonderful. Working with Billie and Diana to help children grow and learn is one of my most cherished life/work experiences. Billie and Diana are excellent teachers who love working with children. Billie is knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring. As a team leader she is super organized, approachable, and always willing to discuss new ideas to help Icare run as smoothly as possible. Diana's knowledge and teaching skills complement Billie's perfectly. Her gentle disposition makes her someone who is universally loved. Icare is clean, spacious, well organized, and equipped with variety of toys and books that keep children engaged. Throughout the week children participate in numerous activities such as reading, dramatic play (structured and unstructured), field trips (parks, libraries, zoo...), arts and crafts, cooking, yoga, music, Spanish... Meals provided by Icare are nutritious and healthy with plenty of fruits and vegetables. At Icare families and teachers work alongside to track children's progress and aid them in reaching appropriate developmental milestones. There are two reports each day (at drop off and pick up) where we share how children slept, ate, behaved... Great Day Care center!! Bilijana is friendly, very professional, organized, and wonderful caregiver. She is also very patient, observant, kind, and attentive. My daughter already loves her and is very much comfortable around her. There is also an infant-toddler room and a class for 2 year old children. There is smooth transition, and children have an opportunity to interact and play with each other, which I find is an amazing experience for my daughter. The school is well-managed and small enough to accommodate special requests personally. I also like their food program. Bilijana is big on health eating and covers all the groups on food pyramids. Their meals and snacks usually include veggies and fruit, whole grains, poultry, juices of all sort, milk, etc. I also truly appreciate the diversity in staff ethnic make up and culture. It brings different traditions together and helps kids explore other cultural elements as well as helping children feel part of something because they are so open and welcoming. The curriculum is also well defined. Children are on schedule from morning to evening doing all sorts of activities, and learning along the way. My daughter's personal favorite is art time and Bilijana is excellent at this. She is creative. Everyday, my daughter comes home with new art piece, which I hang up on her art wall. I truly enjoy sending my daughter to Icare. I think Bilijana is doing a wonderful. I cannot be more thankful for the way my baby is growing and everyday comes home with a smile. Trusting a stranger to take care of your child who is unable to tell you anything is the ultimate challenge for a parent. I went through this when I was choosing daycare for my first child and all I can say I couldn`t have asked for a better one than Icare. We consider ourselves lucky to get into Icare. It was so easy to send my second child to Icare although she was only 8 months as I already had a detailed idea about Icare through my experience with my older daughter (she started when she was 1 year old). Biljana, Zorana, Deana, Vesna and Christina are excellent! You can trust them absolutely with your loved ones. Your child will be well taken care of and most importantly will enjoy being there. They have structured curriculum as appropriate for the child age, every day there is something fun and you get real time updates with pictures and text messages. I love the fact that instead of ordering meals through different vendors (which is the standard in many daycares), they actually cook organic meals themselves. Also, I like that Biljana is very reasonable, and solution oriented. Anytime you have a question you can talk to her and together you will have a plan that will work for both sides. If we weren`t moving I would have keep my kids at Icare until it`s time for school. As a parent you can go to work with 0 guilty feelings knowing that your kid is in good hands (this peace of mind is priceless for all working parents). Thank you Icare for all you did for us! Icare is HOME! From the first time I saw another mom posting about this daycare on fb I told my husband we needed to be part of this amazing community! Billy is just soooo amazing! Her daycare is perfect for these kids. Every toy, every space... it is just perfect! She treated my daughter like it was hers. So much love, care and nurture. The rest of the teachers are also beautiful gems! Zorana always with a smile giving us the report of the day, teaching them some cooking, Spanish and I always loved that she even engaged with my 6 year old talking about Pokémon's! Diana is so kind and she teaches them songs, krafts and yoga! Last but not least Alyssa! Always so nurturing! Being there for my daughter at all times with a smile on her face. Icare like its name says.... They CARE! I wish my daughter stayed there until kindergarten but we had to leave Chicago. If you are looking for a place for your kid where they are going to be in contact with nature, eating organic food, learning yoga, Spanish, cooking (with the cuuuutest hats and aprons), exploring outside rain or shine, caring about them like they are family then ICARE is the place to be! Icare is simply AMAZING! Biljana has created the most welcoming, inspiring and supportive environment for children. She is SIMPLY the BEST. Biljana is truly a child whisper who is passionate and incredibly talented at her craft. Each week the kids have a magical week planned to creatively explore topics that foster a love for learning including outings, crafts, story time, etc. Vivian and Diane, the two asst. teachers are both absolutely wonderful! We couldn't ask for a better team! They are all passionate, loving, and so supportive as they guide each child. Our son has been there for almost a year, and he has advanced beautifully with his learning, developmental and personal growth. The group is diverse and celebrates speaking four languages, which we simply LOVE! The other kids and parents are so delightful! It is a wonderful community. My son has made so many speical friendships. We spoke to several other daycares, and none of them compared to the special environment Biljana has created. My son attended iCare for two years, from 1 to 3 years old. We LOVED everything about it, and only left because we moved out of state. You won't find a better daycare!!! Sending my son there every morning felt like sending him to a second home, an extension of family. The caregivers are warm and knowledgeable about young children, and got to know my son's quirks and likes and dislikes. It felt like they truly cared about him, more than in some other larger daycares where the kids come and go and seem replaceable. As a working parent, it can be hard to say goodbye to your child each morning, but I always knew my son was getting plenty of love and the best of care, not to mention healthy, fresh, home-cooked breakfasts and lunches. And, Biljana essentially potty-trained our son. The kids come from different backgrounds, and iCare really made an effort to celebrate the special holidays and diversity of each child. I was most grateful, though, for the values iCare helped instill in my son at a very young age - showing respect, kindness and gentleness toward others, and learning to resolve conflicts and temper tantrums peacefully. read more

We can't recommend Icare enough! About a month ago we transitioned from our son being at home with our nanny (while I work from home) to Icare for our two year old Mateo. During this time Biljana made a transition plan with us that made us feel more comfortable and excited for a new chapter. Each day I appreciate this daycare more by day, because I can see how much love and care they give to each child there, the kids say it all with their hugs and smiles to Vesna, Biljana and Zorana. As the Icare Team give individualized attention to the children they do so to us as the parents as well by discussing our child's day or a big milestone like potty training! That is not all, Biljana and her team cook healthy meals each day which was very important to me and one of the reasons Mateo did not go to daycare sooner. They go outside, take field trips, do activities and fun learning in preparing the little humans for pre-k and much more! We have been there only a month and hope to stay there for a long time. I would give this place 20 stars if I could. We needed a place that could understand our son's own pace to adapt and adjust, as well as nurture him holistically... we couldn't have hoped for a better spot! The most important thing to us, because we don't have a lot of family in town, was the sense of family and community this place could provide. You can truly breathe the love and understanding in the air. The team is top of the line and are remarkable in grasping each child's emotions and process, and give a unique experience to each. They deeply know children. They're pros. The reason why we're able to connect meaningfully as a family has a lot to do with the support system Billy, Zorana, Diana and the team have created and thoughtfully curate on a daily basis. THE BEST PLACE to see my son thrive!! He learned how to walk, he learned how to talk (both english and spanish), how to go to the potty, say bye to the paci, etc. They are so into independence and community. It is literally our extended family. They know about our ups and downs as family, and they are always supporting us, in many different ways. Adri loves going everyday, and it has been his home. His LOVING home! Billy, Sorana and Diana have the biggest hearts and patience in the whole city. If you are looking for a place that is not huge and commercial, but cozy and familiar, THIS IS YOUR CHOICE. They are truly amazing. If you want your child taken care of the way he or she should be, then this is the daycare for you. I work for Icare and couldn't be happier taking care of the children there. The environment is extremely nurturing and the safest place for a child to be. Billy provides the proper nutrition the entire day for each child, the children get to spend time outside and even go on trips, and also get to do art projects weekly.
