I am happy to have a teahouse near my house or a teahouse in this area even. their place is always clean, great seating, and delicious drinks. the biggest turnoff for me however; is that the staff are not able to speak english. it is such a struggle to communicate with them. I order the same exact drink every time, iced green tea not sweetened, and literally every time they get it wrong and it comes out different. I've been here a few times whenever I need my Tai tea boba fix and I think this is the only place like this in the area. The prices are a little high compared to Ranch 99 and other tea shops in bellaire, but this is a nice place to study and has good Wi-Fi. We've visited this place a few times now, but this last experience we had made me give this place 4 stars instead of 5. Most of the time when we go there is an older gentleman who is always very welcoming. He helps us decide which flavors to try for our smoothies and always greets us with a genuine warming smile. Today, there was a younger lady working and she was not pleasant. We walked in and her demeanor was not welcoming at all. As we were asking for recommendations she seemed to be annoyed and irritated at us for asking these questions. Also, any other time we have been there we were allowed to smell all of the different flavors of tea, not today. She told us no very rudely, at least be polite about it. It just made the rest of my experience there very awkward and not enjoyable. 1pm and the boba berries weren't prepared, she over cooked some and ruined my drink but I don't want to ask her for a new one because I don't want to feel like an inconvenience to her. She didn't even tell us bye or have a good day when we left the store. We love this place and will continue to go there, but if we see her, we will turn around and leave and just go another time. read more

Good service, and shaved ice is delicious. Just wish they had more toppings--I'd like more pudding flavors. The employees are always really nice, but I've had issues lately that have lowered my review. Definitely recommend eating in rather than take-out. Obviously the ice will melt less, but you also get less shaved ice in the take-out container than you do on the plate for the same size. One time I went, our order took a lot longer than usual--I think we may have been helped by a new employee: she couldn't get the machine to clamp down on the ice, and then touched the ice chunk with her un-gloved hand (they all wear one glove, but only touch the ice with that one hand). We ordered shaved ice to go once, and the order was completely botched. We went back, and the cashier let us know that it was wrung up exactly as we asked, meaning the lady that made it just wasn't paying attention. Instead of helping us, she had the original lady help us again, who then started messing it up again. To explain, we ordered 2 green tea ices, both with pudding and mango as toppings, but one had kiwi as the third topping, and the other had tapioca. The first time, we received two MANGO ices-both with kiwi and tapioca (kiwi and tapioca were the only thing differing between the orders). Nope. When she started fixing the toppings, she again put both kiwi and tapioca in one. We had to stop her, she was confused, so she scooped the tapioca and the kiwi out of the cup and onto the counter. We told her that both orders have pudding and mango, but one has kiwi, the other has tapioca. So the kiwi and tapioca shouldn't be together. So she scooped the tapioca and pudding back off the counter and into the correct cups. I hope those counters are cleaned every once in a while. Bottom line is, I've worked in the service industry before, and I understand if it's busy or if it's difficult to keep track of the orders. But we were the only people she was helping at the time, and it only takes common sense to check the computer for the order to make sure you get it right. So far this is the only place that served Snow Ice in this area and its really good. I dont have to drive to Bellaire anymore. I ordered their Taro snow ice and its really above my expectation. Its creamier than what i usually have in Nu Ice and it comes with 3 free toppings! Their boba teas are pretty good as well. I ordered a Jasmine cream tea and its really good. Their tea is really nice and its organic tea. The boba tasted good as well but what really makes it good is that its honey boba! Not some tasteless crap you get from other tea houses. There were many people ordering their smoothies as well. I will try their smoothies the next time. I really love the environment here with a huge ass LCD TV! And they have really friendly staffs! Cypress is my neck of the woods. And the location that Ice Valley is in, has changed from so many drink shops over the years that I've lost count. So I hope that this one really makes it, because it's pretty good. I drove around Cypress on Saturday doing some errands, and passed by it. On my way back towards Hockley, I decided to shop in and try their milk tea (as I saw they advertised boba). Space was clean, staff was friendly, cozy set-up with lounge chairs. Saw some games on a built in, but wasn't sure if they were open for people to play with? and since I was there by myself, didn't think I'd try it then. The milk tea was a little more expensive than I would've liked ($4 something were as most places in Southwest or downtown are at about $2-$3 something), but the flavor was different than most others I've had, and worth the extra buck, and they gave you a lot of tapioca if you're into that kind of thing. As most reviewers have already pointed out-- boba tea is hard to find in Cypress, so it's great to have a location nearby that isn't 20 miles out. Haven't tried any of the other items yet (or items from their food menu), but wouldn't be opposed to coming in another time and trying them. There was a place not too far way, on Jones Rd. called Java Juice that had a similar set up. I was very fond of it, and use to go there with friends in high school and play board games and drink similar stuff, but they shut down more than a few years ago. It would be great if Ice Valley included more games and turned this place into a nice local hangout for kids and young adults. The only other place similar to it that I've seen with decent drinks, is The Teahouse Tapioca out in the Heights, which is again, another 20 miles away in the city. read more

The girl who took my order couldn't tell me what the flavored tea was made out of except that it was "a flavored powder", so I opted for a strawberry pina colada smoothie with boba instead hoping it'd be made out of a more natural substance. i was really excited to find a bubble tea place that was semi-close to my place and i didn't have to drive all the way to the asian sector of houston to get some bubble tea. ummm... i think there may be a reason why all the bubble tea places are in town. the ones outside just aren't as good. i ordered the ice valley milk tea with tapioca. the tea itself was good. just your average black milk tea. HOWEVER, the tapioca is what makes the drink. the tapioca was very chewy. i hear tapioca is pretty hard to get right, but i know i've had way better tapioca elsewhere. also, as i'm sitting in here writing this review, it is stinkin' HOT in here! it might be because of the cooking equipment (they actually serve a full menu of food as well as drinks), or maybe the a/c is broken, but i'm pretty uncomfortable right now. perhaps they just don't want people to hang out here for long. other than that it seems like a cool place to grab some food/drink and play some board games (they have a couple games to borrow). it's kind of a weird mix between a traditional chinese cafe and a hipster tea shop that happens to show espn on their tv's. i probably won't be coming here again, but it's worth a stop if you're in the area and are really craving some bubble tea. as for me, i'll stick with the places closer to town when i'm in the mood. read more

Came here with my two year old to have a few snacks and try out the drinks. My son had a mango/strawberry smoothie which tasted pretty good, he just wasn't in the mood for it this particular day. I had an almond tapioca drink. The drink was good, but the tapioca "balls" were not as soft as I would've liked them to be. We also got some edamame and crab puffs to snack on. Both good sizes. drinks are sorta pricey (around 4.25) i like to study here from time to time because it's close to home. environment is clean & not too loud sometimes they play music...last time it was a mix between john legend and one direction. not bad. haven't tried their milk tea's, but these are my favorites so far: green tea smoothie - mmm a little on the sweet side but a good replacement for jamba juice's green matcha smoothie (they discontinued it). avocado milk shake - WOAH was not expecting to like it as much as I did. It wasn't too sweet & felt like a smoooth, refreshing green cloud in your mouth. fruit infused tea - its hot but they serve it in little cups that are heat resistant so you don't get burned. It costs $6.50, but you can get free refills & share with friends! not sure if I'll ever try their milk tea's, but will definitely keep trying their smoothies & milkshakes! read more

I got the Ice Valley Milk Tea. The milk tea was delicious, not to sweet but just sweet enough for me. The wifi was fast and there were a lot of places to sit. I had an easy time finding a place to charge my laptop because it was about to die. My only problem was with the tapioca, I felt it was too hard and chewy. read more

This place is great, clean, and friendly environment, I'm not saying this place are the best boba in town, but it is the best in the area, I had read a lot of reviews from other people, and mostly the (low stars reviews), they re mostly about the price.....cost too much or over charge,well if you want cheap and powder drinking... you can drive to bellaire, thats about 20 miles, 35 minutes driving... waste your gas to just get a boba drink. (Not worth it), drinks here are all organic, and more healthy than powder drink, but anyways, love this place, they had food and wifi now, even better :) read more
