It isn't a huge supermarket by any means but it sells the full range of groceries you would expect to find. There are small entertainment and seasonal departments and a deli counter. There are always fresh (as opposed to frozen) fish and meat in the chiller section. The best offers are always on the ends of the aisles which helps if you haven't got much time to spare as you can save time searching out the bargains. I've always liked Morrisons as they always seem to have good offers available so I always pop in for a quick look when I'm around and it rarely disappoints.

It's also conveniently placed if you live in Colwyn Bay and don't own a car/motorbike. The store also seems to place more emphasis on the feeling of customer safety, with a burly security guard on patrol in-store, though this can be sometimes be intimidating when one is trying to pick out alcohol whilst being looked at from the end of the aisle.

It easy enough to get by car, being close to the A55 and the main road through town, and has a decent sized car park. You will find cheap and reasonable quality produce, although not necessarily well known brand names. Personally I'm not convinced that the likes of Lidl and Aldi are really cheaper than Asda or Tesco so I don't go here too often.

Their wine is not as cheap as some that can be found in Aldi (though you get what you pay for) and one could find better in the lower rungs of mainstream supermarket shelves for the same sort of price. However, they have been improving their store over the past year including an interior renovation and an automated 'fresh' bread bakery. Nicer shopping experience overall than the nearest Aldi stores, in my opinion.

Using a trolley would thereby facilitate the German discounter's packing philosophy: repack at the in-store shelf after checking out or take your trolley to the car and unload the items directly. However, as a basket user the service feels discriminatory. The store is also dingy compared to the nearest Lidl. Trivia: The Aldi stores we have in the UK are owned/operated by the Aldi Süd (South) company of Germany whose owner used to be one of the two Aldi brothers prior to his death. The other brother operated Aldi Nord (North), operational name Aldi Markt (we do not have this in the UK). The reason for the 2 independently operated Aldi companies is due to a division of assets by the brothers in 1960.
