The big plus was the friendly staff who always made you feel welcome although there was one lady who seemed to live her life in slow motion. "Yes"...they said On checkout , it appeared this was,nt the case, so was made to go back to customer services desk , whereby the lady supervisor arrived. I explained my case , to which I was given the 3rd degree about what I had seen on the Tesco website! By this time the security man arrived , and the original customer services girl had gone home! By this time , I am starting to get a bit upset, about been treated like some sort of idiot!...Being a 55 year old widower, with a degree, ...the impassive nature of the staff was quite shocking. Next minute the security man , started proding me in the back ...telling me to keep my voice down! "Absolutely not".....and I continued to express myself...a minute or two later , the manager showed his face ...and Clearly Stated "WE DON,T ALWAYS COMPLY WITH WEBSITE OFFERS"....i LEFT SHAKING & HUMILIATED . I phoned Tesco main Customer services , who apologised and were very sympathetic....and offered a voucher , which I will and have not spent! I have phones the Police instead , and reported the security man for common assault. I should mention , this was on a Saturday afternoon at 1 pm !!!

As a result when news broke that they were to open a new branch in Llandudno's former Woolworths store this created a bit of a buzz. It's obvious this was never going to be a supermarket, it has no car park and being located in a busy part of town where parking is often difficult to find it was always going to be a place where for the most part you could only ever buy as much as you can comfortably carry. What I didn't quite expect was how small it would be, it appears much smaller than the old Woolies was. Despite the lack of space they do stock a reasonable if limited selection of groceries so in theory you probably could do a full weekly shop here (there are a handful of trolleys available) but you'd need to go a very quiet time to bag a nearby parking space. Personally I'll stick to Tesco.

I don't go there too much these days as didn't think the quality was always as good as it could be, especially the fresh fruit and vegetables which always seemed to go off a bit too quickly. I'm also not convinced it's all that cheap, at least not for what I buy. It's worth the odd look now and again though as they seem to get completely random items of non-food stock so you never know what you'll find.

It easy enough to get by car, being close to the A55 and the main road through town, and has a decent sized car park. You will find cheap and reasonable quality produce, although not necessarily well known brand names. Personally I'm not convinced that the likes of Lidl and Aldi are really cheaper than Asda or Tesco so I don't go here too often.

Basically they sell a bit of everything from food to toiletries to homeware to clothes. Some items are permanently stocked but there are always things that appear breifly never to be seen again so you'll always find something new when you go there. Unlike a lot of bargain shops a lot of the stock is made up of well-known brands and usually the food and drink items have reasonable use by dates. What makes it worth a visit however are the prices which are often a fraction of supermarket prices. If you've never been you have to give a try, I guarantee you'll be hooked.

I never fail to spend far too much here as there are so many Bargains to be had, from Health and Beauty products, Homewares, Food and Drinks and Gifts there is something for everyone. Its a great place for everyday bargains and they sell named brands aswell as lesser known brands so you know your getting quality products. I'm not ashamed to admit that most of my Home Furnishings are from Home Bargains, they always have a great range of modern pictures and prints aswell as bedding. Another bonus is the great parking facilities - always a space nearby.

The Co-op has an advantage in that it's located in the centre of the town and close to the more populated areas. Although there isn't much on street parking there is a free car park just up the road. They stock a decent range of food, drink, household goods and newspapers. There's also a cash machine next to the front door. It's a real community shop as everyone seems to know everyone else (expect me as I don't live in the Junction) and it always has a very friendly vibe. No matter what time of day or night you go there, there always seem to be customers so you'd think they must do very well.
