Amazing tea. Quality is top notch. Everything steeped to order. Came here in the evening right before dinner and the place was packed with people waiting to order and waiting for their drink - a great sign that it's good! Looking over the menu I saw that they were offering a strawberry matcha which I had to get. The matcha they use is the viral Marukyu Koyamean's Isuzu, which is refreshing and light. Paired with the strawberry and oat milk it was a perfect blend of sweetness, refreshing, and creamy. As I was waiting for my drink, I walked around and noticed a back section with tables and chairs. Assuming that it's for people to sit down to enjoy their drinks. I was also told by staff at they serve alcoholic drinks after 6PM (if I remember correctly). I was on the hunt for a good matcha while visiting Toronto and was so pleased to be led to Icha Tea. Right on Queen Street, it's a small but cute little coffee shop with authentic matcha. I was thrilled that they were using Maryuku Koyamaen, a matcha brand that I trust, but is increasingly difficult to find. The iced oat strawberry matcha was divine. The strawberry puree wasn't overly sweet and perfectly balanced by the matcha. Also, I love that you have the option of customizing the drink's sweetness. Half sweet was perfect for me. Cute tea shop near Trinity Bellwoods park. I saw so many people holding their matcha latte so I had to try it. The line was quite long in summer, and it seems that many of their drinks are hand-made to order, including the teas are brewed fresh. I liked the flavour of the matcha latte as they use good quality matcha for their drinks, though I just wish the matcha flavour is a little stronger. They also have a nice seating area at the back and it doesn't seem like they have a seating limit which is nice. There aren't really any plus by the tables so this area is more for socialization as opposed to working with a laptop. read more

I've been waiting for ICHA TEA to open its doors since I first saw the sign and looked up the tea house. This being its second location in Toronto, they've taken the opportunity to expand on the concept with even more space. ICHA TEA approaches tea like an art. Whether it's milk bubble tea, or just a hot cup of something fragrant, they combine love and knowledge in order to serve you something special. The staff is extremely warm and friendly, and we're happy to let me know that they've begun their soft opening. Sometimes it's hard to see a place's vision; not so here. Every detail is attended to, and the result is a gorgeous, modern, luxurious experience which adds to the pleasure of ordering from here. I got the Fresh Taro Milk Bubble Tea, and I'd say it was basically exactly as described. The taro isn't really the dominant flavour - more the milk. That's because there isn't any powder here. It's crushed taro that essentially just exists at the bottom of the cup and combines with the tapioca. This is a refined take on bubble tea that I'm thrilled to have got to try. icha has a great tea selection and customer service! we came here for a green tea tasting. that day I had a dog with me so I asked them if I could have the dog in shop. I was so glad that they are pet friendly, and that they were okay with having the dog in the shop. the pup wasn't happy with being so far away from us and they were nothing less of accommodating and understanding about the dog's needs. the owner who did the tea tasting was also knowledgeable about green teas and ensured that we felt comfortable to chat with him and ask him any questions we had. we had the pleasure of tasting the homemade matcha tart (unreleased!) and it tasted delicious! after the tea tasting I purchased a few loose leaf teas and their selections were excellent as well. the decor was calming and I'd use the space to chill on a work day. I'd love to come by again if icha holds more tea tastings. maybe for white, black, or oolong teas too. read more

Fresh brewed, flavorful teas and great customer service. This jasmine milk tea had such a vibrant floral flavor and at 25% sweet it was refreshing and balanced. If I lived in Toronto I'd be back many more times to try the other teas. There is also a nice area in the back of the shop to relax and enjoy the tea. read more

Icha tea house is my idea of paradise. Quaint place to enjoy a proper cup of tea, where I can read or work. I had the milk oolong tea set where I had unlimited hot water for my leaves. They also have bubble tea which I hope to try next time. It can get noisy if there's a lot of people but I didn't mind one bit. read more

Icha Tea is a very instagramable cozy bubble tea shop that also sells large plants and succulents. Their newest location is in Queen West. It seems pretty small from the outside, but there's actually lots of seating towards the back end. The staff was very friendly, they greeted us as soon as we got in. I got the iced rose tea (caffeine free) with 50% sweetness. It was absolutely refreshing! 50% is a perfect sweetness for my taste and the rose flavour is mild. Watching them make it is also very intriguing as you they brew your tea fresh in a glass pot. Very beautiful to see the art behind making a simple cup of tea. Again, lots of seating towards the back, suitable for having long study sessions or meeting up with friends. They also have free wifi so that's a bonus! I definitely recommend trying this place out and take a break from the usual bubble tea chains (Chatime, Cocos, Ten Rens, etc.). I will be coming back to try more flavours! read more

Stumbled upon this place when I was in the area with friends. What got my attention was the menu they had with alcohol, LOL. I got the 'jasmine gin' and my girlfrd got the 'brown sugar ginger milk tea' (it's caffeine free, which was what she was looking for ). Our drinks tasted great. The atmosphere here was very pleasant. They also have cute cups for sale and some jewelry (looks hand made I think, which is nice). We came into Icha Tea on a Friday afternoon with a friend visiting from Japan. After about 10 minutes browsing the assortment of artisan goods and waiting at the front counter deciding on what to get (everything looked so yummy!), my friend rang the bell at the front desk to signal we were ready to order. The girl at the other counter glared at us and rudely responded "I'm just one person." While we completely understand the difficulty of managing multiple priorities by yourself, we found the response unprofessional and off-putting. Why put a bell at the front desk if you're going to get upset when people use it? She made us all feel extremely uncomfortable, especially as she was slamming things around when we placed our order. The way that she responded could have easily been "Sorry, I'm just one person working today, but I'll be right with you!" vs. making us all feel bad for ringing the bell for assistance. Other than that, the Strawberry Oolong Tea was really good! The seating area in the back has cozy, garden vibes. read more
