I'd been seeing this place online for a while and finally got the chance to stop in with my guy during one of our outings. So glad we did! We walked into a super clean, open shop and were warmly greeted by the ladies behind the counter. The girl helping us was incredibly friendly (and patient!) while we tried to decide... because there were so many delicious options. Tons of ice cream flavors and an insane amount of toppings. It took me a minute to craft the perfect combo. They also have a DIY boba station, which I was really excited about... but, yeah, I totally botched that one. I made the worst-tasting boba drink ever. I wish they offered samples like some other boba spots, cause I still don't fully know what I like or dislike when it comes to those flavors. Big miss on that part. But the ice cream? Solid win. Super tasty. And overall, the shop had a really fun, welcoming vibe. I'll definitely be back... just maybe skipping the boba next time!

Adore this ice cream shop above all else they have the amazing rolled ice cream. What truly makes this place shine is the authentic ice cream it is just cream and your flavor toppings no additives no fluff. Just pure delicious ice cream!!!! They have any topping imaginable you can choose as many as you'd like that gets put on a cold plate cream pour over it and boom hover roll ice cream. You get a show and a natures treat.

I was driving by the area and stopped here for a late night sweet tooth craving. First time having rolled ice cream, but the texture and presentation is top notch. I ordered the Girls just wanna have Flan, was the custard ice cream with cheesecake bits, caramel, and condensed milk. Super rich and thick bites of ice cream, just about as intense in creamy flavor you could want. I got it with whipped cream and caramel drizzle which complemented it well.

It was our first time visiting Icicles, as we were looking for a dessert spot for the kids to enjoy. Of course, we checked YELP on what is close by, and this popped up! The kids enjoyed watching their rolled ice cream being made, and it came out amazing and delicious. They had numerous options to choose from, and they also had a 'make your own boba' station. Everything was clean, and we had great, friendly service! If we are in the area, we definitely will be back again! If you have a sweet tooth craving, don't hesitate to try their yummy rolled ice cream!

David and Phoenix provided a quality service unlike I've ever seen at an ice cream place. Quick, friendly, and delicious, I even brought some of my friends to check it out and they enjoyed it just as much.

Solid 5 stars for Oscar who literally made the entire experience amazing. The prices are a bit much but it is soooo good!! We got the strawberry one, Reese's peanut butter one and the chocolate fudge. Sooo good. We will most likely be back!!

They have good choices of rolled ice cream and a variety of toppings to go with it. The place is clean and the staff are awesome and their location is close to the mall ( more or less 1-2 miles), movie theater and other good places to eat. read more

Just before I moved away from Denver, I heard about an ice cream place that was just opening in town that made rolled ice cream. I'd never had rolled ice cream, but heard about it via those random Facebook videos that promote food dishes from around the country. I never had a chance to try it before I left, but the idea of rolled ice cream stayed with me after I moved away. I was just driving home from the Arden Fair mall when I happened to drive by Icicles. I walked in on a Saturday night at about 8:30 and there was a line of about 10 people ahead of me. I guess this is a popular spot. I immediately saw the menu on the wall to my left. I'm addicted to avocado, so I went with that option. I payed for my ice cream, then waited for my name to be called. About 10 minutes later, I heard my name called and I walked up to the counter. They asked me to confirm my order, which I did, then they started making my rolled ice cream. They dumped half of an avocado on the chilled work surface, then drizzled cream over it, then asked me if I wanted to add any syrups. They suggested condensed milk, and I took them up on it. You watch them painstakingly make your ice cream right in front of you. Afterward, they walk you over to the topping station where you can add any and as much toppings as you want. You can also ask to add more of the syrup that was added to the cream on step one. My final rolled ice cream treat was an avocado ice cream with condensed milk blended into the cream, strawberries, bananas, more condensed milk drizzled on top, then a chocolate drizzle. It was so good. Since the avocado was fresh, it really came out strong in the final product. The bananas and strawberries were cut fresh too. Nothing was frozen or prepackaged in any way. The one thing I will say is that this location can get very busy, so expect to spend up to a half hour just waiting for your ice cream to be perfected before you take your first bite. Just be patient. It's worth the wait. read more

I took my family for hand roll ice cream today is call Icicles on Howe ave Sacramento.. it make fresh and use all real stuff to making the ice cream.my boys love it my favorite is the cheese bite also unlimited toppings we picked 4-5 things on it with no problem.every employee has a good service all smiles and welcome make me feel great.this place will be my family favorite ice cream hand roll. read more

I love coming here but today I was a little upset with their new policy regarding their reward system. The worker said that they stopped giving rewards to limit contact with customers due to COVID-19. However, typing in a customers phone number for rewards doesn't increase contact whatsoever. Management should really consider bringing back some type of reward system so their loyal customers can continue to reap the long established benefits. read more

We came here randomly because my brother in law wanted to come here for his birthday dessert. The staff were nice and welcoming. They don't offer samples though since they make your ice cream fresh. I enjoyed the experience though (you get to watch them make your ice cream) and I enjoyed the ice cream and toppings were fresh. It's about $8.25 (if I remember correctly) for a cup with unlimited toppings. I really wish they offered a smaller size though, but it was good nonetheless! read more

I've gone here like multiple times and I've never been disappointed once! This place is amazing if you want some ice cream as a dessert or if you want to just chill or hang out w anyone!! The workers are really friendly, nice, and funny as if you're talking to a friend you haven't talked to or seen in a while. The overall place is really spacey, comfortable, neat, and organized. It's really easy to go from station to station. I recommend this Icicles location if anyone wants any freshly made rolled ice cream and just has a sweet tooth in general :) Can't decide what to try? Go for Oreo Blast. You won't be disappointed read more

Ice cream was okay and I appreciated the non-dairy options. But the service was terrible. There is inadequate seating inside, none outside and do not allow you to move chairs. The worse is that they refused to give us an extra paper cup to split the ice cream between us. Very disappointing. read more

We come here every time we are attending the Ca State Fair. Plus it's super close to our hotel. My kids love this place. They get to custom make there ice cream and get to watch the process.. they can even add any toppings they like without having to weigh it after. Flavors are wonderful and customer service was awesome. read more

First I will give the reasons for taking away a star I liked how my ice cream tasted! Bute THE COST , $10 for one, you cant choose a size, is insane. So I wont go often, tontake my kids. Plus, when Incame in I was fprgotten, and literally 6 customers after me recwived their order before me, I wasn't too happy. But I wasn't rude at all, the workers are nice. Anyway, the order process is slightly confusing, if you choose to make your own flavor. They mix their own ice cream and mix ins, and then make it into those swirly things into your cup. So IT IS alot of work. After that they go to a topping station and you can choose sauces or fruit or candy toppings. Believe me it tastes good. I like it, i just don't recommend a mom paying $10 for each kid under 5 years old.... They need options for that. I came alone, butt I notice stuff like that as I have kids myself lol... read more

first time ever trying out this place. first of all when we came in they all greeted us. they move every fast. every staff member there was nice and courteous to us. we had the Thai tea and the matcha strawberry both very delicious. the ice cream was really soft and the boys loved the show. we didn't know you can add whatever toppings you want in the end so that was icing on the cake. whenever we come back to Sacramento again we will for sure come back here again read more

Can u say unlimited toppings?! This place is awesome!!! They have several flavors on the menu and even flavors for those who are lactose intolerant. We got the Oreo blast which is my son's favorite. It was enjoyable to watch how them make the rolled ice cream. Pretty neat n delicious considering I'm not really an ice cream person, but this ice cream was absolutely 2 thumbs up!! if you love ice cream this is definitely the place to try!! read more

The workers here are some of the kindest people I've encountered in a food service place! I've been here multiple times (more now that I live nearby) and every visit never lacks kindness and great service. You pay $8.50 for the (plenty) of rolled icecream in your choice of flavor and unlimited toppings. Every flavor I've tried so far is DELICIOUS! I'm not one that usually writes reviews, but these guys have definitely deserved it. Please visit if you are in the area..even if you're far it's worth the drive! read more

This place is so great! I went in San Francisco and couldn't wait to try out the Sac location. The staff is so nice and you can tell that they enjoy their jobs. I ordered the mai thai and topped it with berries, jelly, popping boba, and condensed milk. The consistency of the ice cream is very unique. Been wanting to try rolled ice cream for awhile, and I was not disappointed! I had the strawberry with condensed milk and it was really fresh and delicious. I loved that it had unlimited toppings, and it was a large serving, I ended up sharing one. The restaurant was clean and bright and comfy to sit in, and the service was fast and fun. I stopped someone in mid "haha" convo with another coworker to say "is it the type of seating I should seat myself?" He said: "oh um, you can grab a menu and I can seat you if you want" If I want? Yeah I guess I want (?????) I was checked on once. Mind you, only two seated tables besides me. I took a photo and blurred out faces, so it shows how empty it is and how many people are in the back having convos and neglecting customers. Close to closing time, they are probably cleaning up, but they are totally 100000% distracted by going home that it's like customers don't even exist inside anymore. They also forgot to include the marshmallow in my ice cream, but at least brought it on the side without me asking for it. But the ice cream and carmel syrup especially is good! If you have the patience for how you'll be treated, the food at least is a good treat.

I would've given a solid 4 stars to this place; however, while we were eating the FroYo, the man who was working decided to go into the back of his shop and listen to his shows rather loudly. I could hear the sounds from the shows over the music they were playing, so it made the ambiance a little awkward since I wasn't able to vibe to the music. Thus, creating a rather rambunctious atmosphere. Overall, I do think this place has some room for improvements, especially with their flavor profiles.

They are really the only actual manju place I know of in the area, and it's what I've grown up eating since I was a kid. They have a decent variety, and have ones they just make during Boy's Day and Girl's Day. The manju/mochi tastes as it should (soft/sweet).

I told the cashier I'll have the crystal boba instead of the brown sugar since it's currently unavailable, and the guy goes with an attitude... soo do you want the crystal boba? I said yess...yes I do. The Iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha was alrightt. It is definitely not all that it is hyped up to be. The drink IMO was just a basic iced matcha with chocolate drizzle on the side of the cup and the pistachio foam that barely tasted like pistachio.

We ordered the steak tartare to share which was excellent. It comes with an interesting bread you can break apart to carry the steak tartare which you mix with the egg yolk and herbs. The steak was fresh and clean. Highly recommend. For our main dishes, we ordered the fire roasted porchetta, tomahawk ribeye, and pan seared halibut. We also ordered the grilled broccoli as a side. The fire roasted porchetta was a little too dry and very salty. For $52, this was a disappointment. The roasted apricot does go well with the porchetta, providing a little balance. Not recommend. The 48 oz tomahawk steak for $165 was not the best steak I've had but was still good. The steak needs a better char on the outside but was tender. The steak overall was lukewarm and gave you the vibe of eating a prime rib instead of a steak. My guess is that it was prepared for awhile and resting in the kitchen for a little too long before it was brought out along with the other dishes. It was prepared medium rare which was what I requested. Can't say I am a fan of the carrot escabache that was served over the steak. Recommend. The best dish of the night was the pan seared halibut. It came out piping hot; the fish was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Highly recommend. Finally, the grilled broccoli was well seasoned and properly charred which gave it a nice smokey flavor. Ironically, the grilled broccoli had more of a char than the steak! But for $14, felt the portions were quite small. Recommend. After our steak tartare came out, it took another 20 minutes for one of the matte d to come to us to apologize and tell us that they forgot about our main and will take another 15 minutes or so. As a result, we probably waited a good 30 to 40 minutes before our entrees came out after appetizers. It would have been a nice touch if they comped us something like a shared dessert or something but they didn't really do anything about it. Overall, we liked the restaurant for its environment and atmosphere , but service and food were a little uneven, especially for the prices you pay.

Even with that small inconvenience, we absolutely loved this place and would happily return the next time we're in town.

Not only did they greet my family when I came in but even when we left. They were helpful, patient & SMILED. Next, the ice cream was the best I've ever had.
