But, some dedicated people put a lot of sweat and money into renovating this building. Now, it is delightful; all three floors. There is an Auditorium on the ground floor that seats about 400 downstairs and another 200 in the balcony (which you enter from the 2nd floor). It would be an ideal spot for small concerts like Loudon Wainwright, Colin Hay, Livingston Taylor, etc. There is also a tiny theater on the 3rd floor (seats about 75). There are former classrooms that are being used for dance classes, yoga classes, etc. During the summer of 2017, they have a fine art show throughout the building (all 3 levels) titled "This Great Earth". I hope you realize that the Earth without Art is just Eh.

The teachers are amazing, their choreography is so creative, they care about their students and they push their students to be the best dancers that they can be. No other studio is like this one. The competition team is made up of phenomenal dancers and their competitive numbers are unbelievable! My daughter graduated from NJCOD in 2009 and we keep going back to visit because it's not just a studio and you are not just a dancer, this is our dance family!

As adults, we have gone to the gallery many times in the past to enjoy the artworks and special events. There is a pink plastic dirty chair in the corner of the bathroom and they call that a "nursing room". For a place geared towards children this is disheartening to see. They should either have an actual room, separate from the bathroom, or no dedicated space at all.

Robin McGill has become very rude to the students over the years and parents are not allowed to watch the kids dance until her scheduled "Parent Observation Weeks." Robin's choreography is honestly not great and sometimes when I was dancing at the recital I felt ridiculous in the costumes she picks out because they don't always go with the theme of the recital. I gave it 2 stars though because everyone else there is pretty nice but Robin really needs to work on her kindness skills.
