The short story: This firm does not have time for new clients. They don't seem to care about…read moreclients or customer service. Don't waste your time here. Here's the story of my interactions. December 2024 I reached out because my business was growing rapidly and I wanted a professional to help our tax strategy and our financial planning to grow with it. They scheduled me for an in person meeting with Dean as the first step. About 5min into the meeting as I was discussing what my hope was for my future with them, Dean interrupted me and said something to the effect of, "Just so you know, I haven't decided to accept you as a client yet. We are very busy and we may not want to take on your business unless it makes sense for us." My thought was, why did we have to have an in person meeting just for you to tell me you didn't want my business... This could have been a phone call taking less time out of my busy day! It was obvious I was interviewing for the opportunity to pay for their services. We continued on and I told him more about our business and the revenue growth we were experiencing every month. After a while my only guess is he could tell that we were the type of company they could make money off of so he changed his tune. Suddenly I was in and we were discussing all the strategies he could employ for us. At the end of the meeting he said they would send me an introductory email with some instructions on becoming a new client and a link to a portal to upload all my 2022 and 2023 tax returns. Then they would evaluate everything and tell me what they would need in order to start processing my 2024 return and some entity reporting changes for 2025. Weeks went by with nothing sent to me. I tried to be patient because I figured the holidays might have slowed them down. I knew they had my email because they were sending me emails about their new office and having a ribbon cutting ceremony party. Finally in late January I sent another email letting them know I still hadn't receive my welcome email or the portal invitation. They replied this time... No apology for the delay.. They just said, we do have you in our portal but they hadn't invited me yet. They said they would invite me but we're letting me know that I was now a little late and they were getting busy and I should hurry and send in my 2022 and 2023 tax returns. (great, so now I'm to blame for being late) Sadie said in the email, after I uploaded my returns, they would evaluate them and then "send you a tax organizer, so you know what documents to bring for 2024". So I logged into the portal immediately after our phone call and uploaded my '22 and '23 returns. Weeks went by and nothing from them. Finally it was getting too close for comfort for me with the impending tax deadline and it didn't seem like they valued my business or had time for me. I ended up processing my tax return without them. I've never heard a single thing from them until June 4th 2025 (today) when I received a call from them (I think Sadie again). She said she just wanted to check in because they were still waiting for my paperwork to process my 2024 return and she wanted to know if I still wanted to be a client. At this point I have been so upset with how little they care about prospective customers. I told her I did upload my returns to the portal as she requested in February and no I couldn't see us doing business together because I don't think they value me or my time because they never sent me anything after that. Her response was indifference and she seemed happy I didn't want to be a client. She said, "Ok good that's what I was wanting to know. We did receive your 2022 and 2023 returns but you never sent us anything to process your 2024 return." (basically once again I was to blame) I started to tell her she said that they would evaluate my returns and send me the information and format they wanted for my 2024 return but they never did (what she called the tax organizer in her email in February), after I said that I realized I was about to lose it, lol. So I just hung up. There's no point in explaining that to her and going back and forth when they just keep putting blame on me. They don't care. The reality is they've taken on more than they can handle. They should have just told me in that first meeting they were too busy with existing clients to take on new clients. Seriously, it's June 4th 2025! And now you're finally reaching out about getting my 2024 taxes done?!? I don't want a CPA I have to babysit. So, I'm still on the hunt for a good CPA who cares about me, my company and my family.

I had some very complicated questions that needed an expert to answer. I called Keller CPA and relayed the issues at hand and was quickly contacted by Cameron Keller. He was super polite and very knowledgable. I felt as if we were two reunited buddies from high school. As we conversed on the phone. He asked some in depth questions to ensure he understood the issue and I emailed him some documents for review. He told me that he would have a reply within 48 hours. On mid Monday morning, well short of the deadline, I received a call from Cameron detailing the changes that I needed to make in regards to my LLC and he provided me with some extra guidance going forward. I felt that he cared about me and the success of business and that he wasn't the type of guy that was looking for a quick buck. Ghosted! We decided to renew our policy and transferred over to Nancy Uli locally. The initial…read moremeeting lacked transparency from the beginning. We were asked a few general questions each; General health and the names of our doctors and told a company may reach out to us if we need exams. From the start, the external company was an absolute nightmare, calling odd times of the night from blocked numbers and we'd have to call back only to get voicemails which lasted 4 weeks! Their questions were invasive, and they immediately verbalized medical conclusions of their own. They labeled us outrageous diagnosis to increase our rates, such as skin cancer from over 15 years ago as a risk, my father dying from chemicals in Vietnam because he was young, etc. When we spoke with Nancy, initially, she never asked or advised us, nor did we give any consent to the fact that all of our medical records would be obtained by an external company and reviewed/dissected. We discovered this had occurred to our shock (detailed below), which is a huge HIPAA violation! After the initial medical call we were told we needed extensive medical exams, due to their underwriting determination of our medical records! When we asked the company what the labs and exam consisted of they told us it was confidential and only medical examiners, not doctors would be reviewing them to make a determination. We've left two messages with Nancy since insisting on answers, requesting a much less expensive policy that doesn't require medical underwriting, and an explanation of how none of this was disclosed to us at the initial meetings. After 2 voicemails and a detailed message left with her receptionist, we've been ghosted!! The whole process was shady from the beginning with zero transparency and everything we experienced was an obvious excuse to give us outrageous rates with very biased determination of our health. As a customer, everyone deserves answers when it comes to our health, the right to know what tests are being ordered and transparency. It should not be confidential from the person that is being the subject of the policy. We've since gone to a wonderful agent that's communicated with us and it's been a 180 different, positive experience.
