Originally the intention was just have my garage resided and replace a side door/windows. After seeing a glowing review of this business, I called Larry who came out to take a look. He clearly knew what he was doing & answered every question. He had options, showed several siding/door samples, gave me a ballpark figure followed by a detailed estimate a few days later. I originally thought the estimate seemed slightly high but was so impressed with our interaction that I felt good about signing it. You might think this was careless, but I knew I was going to have the house resided at some point and I wanted to be comfortable with the folks I was dealing with again. A few weeks later, I was offered a very nice financing deal by my bank so I decided I was all in. Larry visited the house again with front door/sliding door options as well as some nice faux stone surrounds for the front of the house. (btw I thought the doors' pricing was very competitive considering installation) Made my decisions and they hooked me up with a subcontractor to have more insulation blown into the walls of my early 60's built home while we had it stripped. Again, I was given a nicely detailed estimate and a few weeks later the work began. These guys are neat, very organized and incredibly polite. At one point, I was home sick from work and Bob (the project point man) offered to come back another day to avoid the noise disturbing my sleep. The noise/activity didn't bother me at all, but it impressed me enormously that he made the offer. It pretty much set the tone for the entire project. Some of the materials were on back order so it took somewhat longer than expected but I received updates nearly every day from Bob. We discussed what he was doing, the details of what I wanted and any suggested changes, which weren't many, but they were good ones. The crew was also flexible when scheduling electricians etc who were adding outdoor soffit lighting. ( I wish the electrician had been as communicative as Ideal was.. that's another review ). In the end, everything looked amazing. Rave reviews from the photos I put on Facebook. The neighbors stop to comment (they especially love the stone surround at the front entrance), & picked up Ideal's business cards. The final invoice had NO surprises tacked on: Only the items we'd discussed which were no more than what we'd agreed on. The short story is you get what you pay for and I felt like these folks are worth every penny. I hope Brian (Ideal's president) appreciates how great Larry and Bob are to deal with. I sure do!
