I have a 35 foot camper trailer that needed the back bumper repaired and I was heading to another…read morewelding shop on Johns Island, one that I knew had a large enough shop to where I could get my trailer into the shop, but when I got there around 3:30pm on a Friday they were closed. So I googled "welders near me" and Bogert Welding came up, and they were just a few miles away. I had never heard of them, but I was desperate and so I headed over there. When I arrived he was not in the shop but they called him to see when he would be back. Lucky for me he was already heading back from Kiawah so the wait was brief. Since I didn't have an appointment, I asked if I could leave the camper so that he could work on it as he had time. He said that I didn't have to leave it because he could fix it right there. He pulled out his equipment from his well-equipped truck, quickly got the bumper back into place, and welded it. I then asked if the welds would be weaker than the original bumper, and he said "Not when I'm done". He then went into his truck and pulled out a couple of 1/4 thick steel plates and added them to each side of the bumper, where they met the camper's frame, and welded them into place. I can't imagine that bumper will ever move again. Unlike some craftsmen that I have used in the past, they were extremely friendly, clearly competent, and their price was far more reasonable than I expected. So reasonable, in fact, I gave him a 40% tip for the excellent and friendly service. I highly recommend Bogert Welding.

Heard only good things, never used them…read more One day I was pumping gas as i watched a man's car come to a slow stop on the sidewalk not 20 feet away from me. Before I could even stop pumping and get over there, a Rainbow Floors van pulled over, helped push, gave a thumbs up to the guy and left. Driver was on a Bluetooth headset, never took it off, never said a word and wanted no recognition. It restored humanity for a moment. Until someone honked at the Rainbow van for stopping just so perfectly so any oncoming traffic wouldn't plow into the broken down car. The honker had to room to get by too. Rainbow man: black, muscular, mid 30s maybe, short dreads, white Bluetooth headset. Corner of Otranto and Rivers. Thank you man.
