The mac n cheese on the side thought came out of the instant mix box. My partner ordered the Brisket with potato salad and coleslaw. The brisket was very soft but lacking some flavors. EASY 5 STARS. IDK BBQ is easily the best bbq I have had in a long time. They have a "not so secret menu" with super fun combos and sandwiches. My husband and I split the smoky sunrise-- "chicken on a Parmesan bun topped with mac & cheese and smoky sauce". It was perfect. The Mac and cheese is delish. The chicken was tender and juicy. The bun was toasted. All three came together to make a truly heavenly bbq sandwich. We also got a "meat plate" with pulled pork, coleslaw, and corn bread. The pulled pork MELTED in my mouth. The coleslaw was hands down the best we have ever had. And the cornbread was moist and dense. The homemade bbq sauces were jam-packed with flavor. I can't pick a favorite between the smoky and the regular bbq. I'm just sad I can't buy bottles to take home. The vibe of the restaurant is adorable and bright and well-decorated. They have classic truck beds turned into tables/seats. The guy who took our order was kind and helpful and clearly working so hard! There is a small parking lot right out front. Staying in Bryce to hike but the food options were very limited. We got a recommendation to try IDK BBQ. It was a 10 min drive but well worth it. It was clean, cute and the worker was very friendly. Absolutely delicious brisket. My husband had the pulled pork with baked beans on a pretzel bun. "It was good." They have 3 different barbecue sauce options: regular, smoky, spicy. They are available for anyone to use so you could even try all three if you wanted. We also split a side of mac n cheese which was super cheesy and way bigger portion than I was anticipating for a small! First of all, just know that this is a very casual barbecue place, where you order at the counter and eat indoors on picnic benches or get takeout. It's almost comical how many things they were out of. We visited at 5:30 PM on a Saturday night at the end of September. They were out of potato salad, ribs, pulled pork, and barbecue sauce. Note this is a barbecue restaurant We ordered a baked potato with sour cream and butter. We received it with nacho cheese sauce and fried onion rings instead. We never would've ordered it that way, but it was actually very delicious and I'd get it again. I didn't care for the sweet pork sandwich, but my husband did. The barbecued beans were very good although a little too sweet for my taste and I like sweet beans. Ordered a peach cobbler and couldn't find any peaches in it. When I asked about that, they said it was the seasonal pumpkin cobbler instead. Really didn't care for it and we asked for our money back. She wasn't gracious about it when we asked and didn't ask for our credit card to refund the money. Not sure that we'll get the refund. The more that I think about it, I wouldn't eat here again. Tldr; an oasis in a desert of terrible food. There is no such thing as a 3 meat platter on the menu but you can request a 3 meat platter none the less. Do it. All the meats are yummy but as usual (IMO) the beef brisket takes the prize. Mac n cheese lacked flavor despite being cheesy (maybe needed more salt at least?). The cole slaw was good, and complimented the food well. The corn bread was the perfect balance of sweetness and it was nicely moist (vs dry). Beans were a little sweet for my taste but also smoky. Wife liked them. You order at the counter so no table service. I'm pretty sure I was overcharged by accident but I didn't make a fuss about it since the food is cheap ($10 a platter). We went to stop in today and it looks completely closed down. This place made me a fan of bbq. My dad and I were getting a little nervous trying to find good food options out Cannonville, but idk was phenomenal and wiped away all of those worries! Caution: this place is QUITE popular (rightfully so), but that means if you're there during the dinner rush, expect to spend over an hour waiting in line. The line also never really got shorter, so I'm glad my dad and I stuck it out. My dad and I did not anticipate such a long wait, and we were getting pretty hungry. Get them all because it adds so much flavor to your sandwich. I've had a lot of pulled pork sandwiches that lacked flavor because there weren't any pickled things to complement them, so I was glad to find that these toppings came included here. I love that they don't drench the meat in the bbq sauces. Instead you can pour it on or dip it in yourself. There's a classic and spicy version (which is not that spicy, so try it)! A gem in a surprising location in Utah! If you haven't read, Idk BBQ has received awards and has been nominated as the top location in Utah for BBQ, and I can see why. We've been in twice over the years and both times were great. They were fairly busy the last time we came in, so you might expect a line when you show up (but I always take that as a good sign). I think the baked potato option is fun and unique--it's essentially a baked potato with bbq and all the toppings you could want. Their meat plates are also really good and they give you generous portions. I especially liked the chicken and sliced brisket. The sides are also wonderful, I recommend trying the beans and potato salad together. Lastly, they make their own bbq sauce and you should definitely try all of them. Prices are decent as well. For the plate, we ordered brisket, sweet chicken, pulled pork for the meat, and corn bread, potato salad, mac and cheese for the sides. So we were originally going to order cole slaw, but saw the worker in the back wiped his nose with his wrist, then proceeded to dig his arm into the cole slaw mix to prepare the batch. He was wearing gloves tho, but still... Yuck. No thank you. But poor kid was swamped... For the house sandwich, it consisted of pulled pork on asiago buns with nacho cheese and jalapeno. Both the pulled pork and brisket were well cooked, very tender, but the chicken wasn't so great. All meats lacked flavor. Really had to douse BBQ sauce onto everything. The sides... Well, out of the three we paid for, we only received two. But we were way too tired from long day's drive and hike to go back and ask for it. The potato salad was pretty delicious. Can't say the same for Mac and cheese tho... The macaroni was undercooked so it was a bit hard. The house sandwich saved the day! Pulled pork was still bland but the nacho cheese did had some flavor. This was so good, I recommended idk to strangers in a hotel lobby deciding on food. We were the only ones here from ordering till we finished eating, which is such a shame because WOW. Everything was ready so we were served quickly thankfully. I got the 2 meats and 2 sides, opting for smoked Turkey (we missed Thanksgiving food this year), sausage, Mac and cheese, and cornbread.
