After contacting him to replace our driveway, he came out to meet with us the same day and provided us with a very reasonable quote. We agreed to hire him and he started immediately. Initially, he was pleasant and extremely responsive. He brought in different contractors over a two day period to do the job. In addition to the driveway, I had two areas that had very distinct cracks and Larry assured me that he would be able to repair the cracks without needing to remove the entire panel. After the first day, he informed us that he miscalculated the quote and indicated that it should have been $600.00 more. Because of this, he said he would not be making a penny on the job. As a reasonable person, I discussed this with my husband and we agreed to meet him half way and added an additional $300.00 for the job. Once the driveway was completed, I had to contact him several times to follow up on the repair of the cracks. After several weeks, he finally came to repair the cracks but because he neglected to let us know, we and others drove over the area leaving tire marks all over the place. He made a complete mess of patching the cracks with a darker, uneven coat of concrete. Additionally, we walked over to one side of the house that we don't frequent very often and was shocked to see that he had used the water hose to clean concrete off his buckets and equipment. There were piles of concrete stacked high and the place was a mess. When confronted, he blamed his other workers for the mess and assured us that he would come to clean it up. He also came up with at least a dozen excuses for the horrible patch job he did on the cracked sidewalk and told me he could replace it but that he would have to charge me. I told him I wasn't going to give him another penny and demanded that he do whatever was necessary to repair the damage he created. Needless to say, I have called him numerous times and each time I get promises and excuses. As of today, after several months, the mess has not been corrected. I am submitting this review so that other innocent consumers do not encounter the same horrible experience. Now I am going to have to hire another contractor to repair the damage that Larry Freeney created.
