I visited to this location during Labor Day weekend, and we all had a great time! Our party was nine people a mix of frequent flyers, and absolute newbies, both adults and kids. My family had been to their location in Queens, New York before, and it was nice to see the consistent quality of service that they had at this location. Everyone had to start out with a brief training to make sure we were on the same page with the safety guidelines. Mike was fantastic as our instructor, even making our youngest kid in our party with sensory issues feel safe! He even suggested rubber ear plugs instead of the foam ones, since they were smaller and would secure a little bit more comfortably mid-flight. Once we got going, he guided us through a number of different skydiving techniques, including turning, lifting ourselves up, and controlling ourselves to lower back down. It was a wonderful experience for everyone. In fact, it made me and my family want to do indoor skydiving again for additional training! read more

We were told we would receive them via email, 20 minutes after the experience and 5 days later, we had not. After numerous calls and a negative post, we received a call and our photos. Alex the instructor great very personable knowledgeable and good at what he does. Kyle the manager needs a little more oil to rub customers the right way. He had no care whatsoever in expression nor how the customer felt. I have a fear of heights I asked could I sample a flight and if I didn't like it my s/o completes it he said no. I said well do you have trial flights he said unfortunately no. I'm like we've spent nearly $400 bucks and there's nothing you can do to accommodate someone like me. Long story short I stayed in the ground no trial flight no nothing for someone trying to get over and conquer a fear. Don't buy the media package the equipment must be antiquated. This was crazy fun. I used a Groupon and got a good deal for a Sunday afternoon. AJ was great about moving our reservation earlier. Sunday afternoon was definitely the time to go. Keyion was our flight instructor and he was great. I can describe how crazy it felt. Weightlessness! After the first go, I knew I wanted to go again. We did upgrade to the double high flights and photos/free merch. Worth it. I just laughed the whole time. The place was clean and well organized. Everyone was very professional. FUN FOR KIDS! Not just for adults. I took my 5 year old out for an adventure day and was overly impressed with our first time at iFly! The staff was great and his flight instructor (Aubrey) was AWESOME. Safety is #1 and that was apparent upon arrival...from the knowledgeable staff, to the outfitted gear, they helped make a slightly nervous momma feel assured and comfortable. TIPS: Would recommend the "High Fly" add-on option. And if it's for a kiddo, I would also recommend doing at the very least 2 flights. We did 4 total and split up the fly time doing 2 minutes + 2 minutes. This was a great suggestion by Aubrey, as it allowed for a break in between while others took their turn. *A flight is 60 seconds. We had a minor hiccup with a portion of the bday reservation but the staff handled the situation to the best of their ability. As a parent who didn't participate in the indoor skydiving, the best part of the experience was the customer service. The staff at this location did a great job. The facility was clean and the party room was larger than I expected and was a private space for our party. Although quite expensive given that each flight only last for a minute, my son had a great time. The training was helpful and the instructor was extremely patient with me son. My son was of course given a child's helmet which provided more coverage than the adult ones in my opinion. We arrived to find the doors locked and everyone was standing outside. Once an employee let us all in they claimed the door was open the entire time which definitely wasn't the case since multiple people tried to open the door upon arrival. For that i took 2 stars off. lol I would recommend paying the extra fee for the super high flight. It was a hit for my kid. Really enjoyed this, but it was wayyyyy to short! I paid 85.00 to fly for two minutes total. And I paid more to fly high once. While it was a thrill and seemed liked a super fun hobby and a great workout (they didn't warn me about feeling sore after, though I didn't mind), I don't know if it was worth it! Or the incentives to return need to make it more affordable, rather than less affordable. Experience wise, I totally loved it. But couldn't afford to make it a hobby. What a bummer. Staff was nice. Jamal took us up. He was an excellent teacher and very patient with my friend, who wasn't total comfortable with the feeling of being in the tunnel. The pictures and videos weren't of the best quality, so I don't patrons should feel the need to get them. We had an amazing and unforgettable time at iFLY and I have to share why this trip was so special. Our family purchased a group package for 5 of us to fly, with one of our members being particularly anxious about the whole experience. At check-in, we discussed this with the worker who checked us in and he assured us that they could opt out at any time and that those 2 mins of fly time would be evenly distributed amongst the remaining 4 fliers in our group. The instructor assigned to us was Aubrey, and as he started cycling through each person to take turns to fly for one-minute intervals, our one anxious member remained on the bench, opting out whenever it became their turn. Once all parties had flown, he had the fans turned off and came out of the tube to talk to our anxious member. He sat on the bench next to them, talked and explained. He eventually got them to step out onto the net in the tube. A few moments later, they were both laying on the net. Aubrey was extremely patient and took his time and before we knew it, he had our teenager flying. I can't tell you what this meant to all of us. Our teenager struggles with severe anxiety and OCD, and to have someone spend precious time one-on-one with them, ensuring they felt safe and secure without pressuring them at all, was a huge blessing. Had a great time at iFly! Now I know it's "expensive", but this is not an everyday experience! You can save money by either purchasing tickets at Costco or taking advantage of their military discount, if eligible. We went during the week to avoid the crowds. We choose our time slots and paid online. Then we completed our waiver when we arrived. After a little wait, we were introduced to our instructor. We watched a short video and then coached on how to fly. Our instructor went over signs that would help us once in the tunnel. Next we were fitted for our shoes and suits. You can put any extra belongings in a locker. Ready, set go! You get two turns in the tunnel for two minutes each. That seems short, but it's just enough time. Now you will need to follow everything that you learned during the brief training in terms of correct body posture. Having said that, you must breathe through your nose. I found it very hard to breathe once in the tunnel because I had my mouth open. I panicked (see video)! And my two minutes seemed like an eternity. Luckily my instructor was able to help me out. This place is really amazing! Such a unique, different, and enjoyable experience for all age groups. It's located about 20 mins north of Baltimore in White Marsh. Soon as you walk in, there's the lobby where you'll have to complete your waiver, get weighed, and get your wrist bands. You'll get grouped with others depending on how busy it is. Once you're in the actual space, the process is pretty seamless. You'll get a training brief that's about 10 mins, a chance to put away all your stuff in a locker, you'll receive your gear for flight, and you're all set. Our instructors were super helpful, friendly, and guided you every step of the way. The flight lasts about 60 seconds. We added the high flight option which was an additional $10 to go higher in the chamber and be spun around by the instructor. So worth the money! For years, I have been driving past iFly on I-95 and wondered what it would be like to try it out. When my little cousin asked me to take her for her Chanukah present, I had my excuse to drop my dough and go. I found a deal from Costco that allowed me to get $100 for $69, so I was able to save $30. However, flying indoors is not cheap and that only covered 2/3 of the cost. I then added on a picture each so we would have a fun reminder of the day. When we got to iFly, we checked in and were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a higher flight. Apparently $69 per person does not pay for you to go higher than the instructors waist. Knowing this could possibly be the only time I ever did this I decided to upgrade to the higher flight. My cousin decided to stay lower. My package included a different helmet, which I wasn't given. However because I wanted the picture, I decided not to speak up because this helmet showed more of my face. Overall, the experience was not for me. It didn't give me the thrill I always imagined would come with flyIng and all of the wind blowing against my arms made them hurt. But everyone else seems to love it My biggest disappointment came with the picture. For my cousin, there was only one option, and for me there were two. Both were bad quality and not worth $5 each. The video was of my low flight, not my high flight, which was extremely disappointing. Therefore, in the end, I spent nearly $30 extra to fly high for 15 seconds. My recommendation is that if you want to have pictures or videos to document the experience, ask someone watching to film it for you. DO NOT pay extra for any sort of media package. read more

My husband and I had talked about doing this since they opened and we now that we finally made it here - why did we wait so long?!? Yes, each flight is 1 min and yes, it could be considered costly - but it's an experience that you'll enjoy, remember, and likely want to do again (which luckily, they offer reduced pricing for return fliers.) As a first time flyer, our entire visit took just over an hour and we were in a group of 11 fliers total. We saved time by completing the waiver online ahead of time, signed in, got fitted with our gear, watched a training video, and then went flying. I highly recommend paying to go higher on your 2nd flight. Everyone who worked there was super friendly and helpful; you could tell they enjoyed what they do and working with each other, which I believe directly influences the overall customers experience. Really unprofessional. The "class" they gave before using the wind tunnel was unsupervised and just a low quality video, with no instructors present. They just put us in a room and pressed play on the video. After it was over, one of the instructors asked how the video was. Everyone said it was bad, and she joked that "Yeah, we know". The kids in the classroom were just wrestling, since nobody from the staff was in the classroom. The whole thing was uncoordinated and a hot mess. Then we sat around and waited about an hour after the class before we finally went in the wind tunnel. We had to leave the building to grab some things from the car and a worker acted as if we were skipping out on the bill, when we paid for everything upfront. I was a little anxious not knowing what to expect, and being scared of heights, but there was none of that anxiousness once I jumped in the wind tunnel! It was so smooth and felt amazing flying - especially the high flight (so worth the few extra $$!) Seeing the photos & video afterwards was awesome - definitely something I wanted to have documented! The check-in process was easy, and the whole experience flowed well from start to finish. Our flight instructor, Pat, was super fun & friendly, explaining it all clearly and well. Let me start off by saying this isn't as easy as it looks! It is a little harder than expected, but it was so much fun. I was scared initially but after my first flight I wanted to keep going! Jade was our instructor and he was amazing! He was very informative and made sure we each had successful flights. We had 5 people and did three intervals of just under 3 minutes each. We bought the party package. We initially had 8 people but a few did not fly which gave us 5 that did, more time. I would recommend doing a minimum of 2 flights to get the hang out it. I went there with my sales team and it was a great experience and will definitely be back soon. Jade was not only a great instructor but his passion about the sport made our experience even better. Each time we got out he told us what we could improve on so we could have a better flight. The other staff were nice as well. On the initially sales call I wish she would have told us about the add ons we could have had. While at the location we were informed of the add ons. I think it would be a good sales tactic to let people know all the options before hand. We might have added on a lot more. We did add on the high flight for $9.95. I was not aware that the package I bought did not have that. The sales reps should be more informative, not only to help the company but to help the flyers have a more enjoyable flight. I'm the sales manager at my company so I am a little biased, but sales is sales. There is a weight limit of 300 lbs, one of my employees could not fly because he weighed 302 lbs. which I understand the protocol for that and the employees did very well with handling that situation. Would give this location a 0 if I could. My husband brought me here as a birthday surprise. We live an hour and a half away and due to numerous accidents, we were late. The front desk rep informed us that we would have to reschedule. We complied because we missed the safety course. She scheduled us for the following Sunday and we paid an additional $150 for our son to join us. When I asked if she could schedule all three of us, she told me that the earliest time she had available was 1pm. To avoid being late because of the distance and potential traffic, we left our house very early and arrived at 12:15pm (30 minutes earlier than the safety course). When we arrived, she said your session was at 12pm and I immediately said no it wasn't! We were scheduled for 1pm! She sat there and argued with me rather than trying to help the situation. All she said was that she could reschedule us AGAIN!!! I told her that is unacceptable and that she clearly made a mistake. Why would we intentionally show up late and we just drove an hour and a half the week before. We knew if we did that, we wouldn't be able to fly so why??? I explained that we put it in our calendars for 12:30pm so we would be here earlier than the time expected. She refused to take any ownership. The General Manager, Ericka Greene, cuts in and starts arguing with me too and putting words in my mouth about the time. I couldn't believe this level of treatment from individuals who represent this company. Customer's money is what keeps you all employed!!! Remember and respect that!!! I was fed up at that point and abruptly left because I felt disregarded and disrespected. She clearly put us in the wrong time slot and did not take any accountability for that. I came back in and didn't acknowledge her at all. I simply told my husband to get our money back. We spent well over $400 for 3 people for this poor treatment and lack of consideration. WE WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN AND ADVISE THAT YOU DON'T EITHER!!! We have since rescheduled our flights at the Gaithersburg in July but unfortunately, my birthday is in June... so much for a birthday gift... Had my son for a couple of days and decided to look for something different g for him to do outside the normal baseball games and Dave and Busters. I remembered driving to New York and seeing iFly's building, so I decided to look it up. After seeing online that the prices were not too steep, I reserved a space online and completed the waiver to save some time. Once we arrived, we checked in at their kiosks and then were serviced by one of the customer service reps at the counter where me and my son were weighed. We were told about the up charge for the high flyer experience (I recommend this) and then we were on our way to the waiting area. While in the waiting area, we were able to see everyone else taking their turn in the tunnel. My son appeared to be nervous but when he saw kids his own age in there, he seemed to be relaxed. I have to say that it is probably a good idea to go during the week because the weekends could have you waiting an hour before your turn to go. We got there at 630pm and wouldn't have went until around 730pm, but there was space on the 6pm slot and they were happy to accommodate us. You are welcomed by your instructor and he takes you into the classroom where you watch a safety video. Once the video is over, he will come in and go over all of the hand signals to look out for and demonstrate everything that was on the video. Now on to the suit fitting. Once you gear up and place all of your loose items (cellphones, keys, jewelry, etc) in one of the lockers, it on to the tunnel. A word of advise is to bring some sneakers that lace up, they do provide some, but you will probably want to have your own. You get two runs in the tunnel of two minutes each and if you selected the high flyers up charge, they do that on the second run. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for something different, and will be doing it again. read more

This is a fun place with great instructors. My children were excited for their time at IFly on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived early for our appointed time and we were asked to come back later. So we did, but only to wait another hour before they were dressed and ready to fly. I understand the safety practices that they must review, but we even had to wait about 30 minutes before we got the training. On the other hand, the instructor was so kind and patient with my daughter who had second thoughts about entering the wind tunnel. So, my son got some of her time during his flight. Everyone was so gracious and accomodating. It was truly the wait time to get the training and gear that detracted from the experience. So my date and I went here to accept the challenge of flying through the air...although I did the real thing I cannot say the same for my date...lol..but this was fun...I will say as a on looker it looks like you are not getting your money worth by flying at the low level but it is different for those who are actually inside the tube with air blowing so fast you will think your entire face flew off...but we did the high fly where it takes you 6ft up and can u say scared I'm in there slobbering from the mouth and all smh...our instructor Jamal was the best so make u ask for him and do tip these folks...overall had a great time... read more

If you want a truly unique experience, this place is must for you! We came here for a friend's birthday to get a taste of skydiving. It was a incredibly fun time! Very enthusiastic and patient instructors. First a jumpsuit and helmet is provided and then an introductory video is shown. The instructor came into the room after to answer any questions and to pump us up! We then came into the center and the instructor took us into the wind tunnel itself one at a time. What an exhilarating (and kinda scary) experience! You're allowed to "fly" a bit on your own while the instructor helps you with some basic maneuvers. We signed up for the special package where the wind picks up even further and the instructor takes you for a high spin. Very heart-pounding experience! There's also an option to purchase a video of yourself if you choose. This place is not cheaper but very memorable. It was also really cool watching some of the instructors show off their abilities. We called in at advance to let them know that we were running late because of the weather and the person on the phone told us to be there at 2:15 we walked in at 2:13 and they turned us down!!!
