I contacted CRAFT and met with their great team and they were able to take me in, assess where I was at and get me set up and ready for my checkride in a short amount of time. The aircraft's are fantastic, well taken care of and flying the Diamond DA40 of course is amazing. It was a Sunday morning (March 6th) and a last minute thought, so I called the number instead of using the online booking. The message said they were busy and to use the online booking service on their website. I then placed a request for later that day and waited for a confirmation or rejection. It is good we were not waiting at the helo pad, because I received the rejection of the request over 48 hours later (Wednesday afternoon of March 8th) with an explanation that is was "Past Date" as if I did not have access to a calendar. I am not advocating that every business has to be open for every whim of a customer however, if your site conveys that the business is in operation, then they should definitely act like they are open, even if to say we can't accommodate your request. Credit where it is due: they did not charge my credit card.

I signed up for a discovery flight, figured if I didn't like something I could look elsewhere. Well the discovery flight was AWESOME!! We flew up the coast to IOP, then back across the harbor/bridge and over downtown on our return. The instructor (Robin) was most professional and informative. My decision was made right there!! I booked a 10hr flight training package and I'm on my way to earning my PPL with the first 3hrs already under my belt. All I can say is I'm stunned that I almost didn't even go just because of these comments, which leads me to question their motive and legitimacy. Bill really helped me with my training, and, with his years of experience, not only helped me get my Instrument and Commercial rating, but made me a much better pilot for real work flying experience. This school has some really good CFIs with a lot of experience. You are not just a number to them, they really want you to get your ratings/licenses and become a good pilot. I have been flying and training for a long time and this school, hands down, is the best experience I have encountered. Not only do they train you well, but they introduce and welcome you to the world of aviation in a great way. With bbqs and I really personalized touch, they introduce you to a lot of people and make you feel like a part of the Aviation family. Highly recommend!

I have found all the instructors to be extremely competent and professional. Also hardworking and willing to go out of their way and adjust schedules to meet their students needs. The aircraft are well maintained and availability hasn't been an issue. They have onsite maintenance if any issues arise which keep the planes flying and students progressing. The school itself is inside a well maintained facility with a fun lounge. Plenty of space to study before or after flights. They also do charter flights and helicopter rides so there's always lots of activity. The SC weather is also good for training with lots of VFR days and lots of good views of the coast. I'd highly recommend this school to anyone looking to start their career or fly for fun

My flight teacher was so nice, he let me fly almost the entire time-but he was obviously helping me out. I got to do everything but land. That's the hardest part he said. I've done a lot of crazy and adventurous things in my life but this has to be one of the most memorable. They gave me some financing options when I asked and answered all of my 500 questions and never seemed to mind me driving them nuts with all the questions. I'm just a very detailed person and I like to know all the info. No question, I am getting my license! And I'm doing it there. They have a beautiful new building that takes up an entire city block (no joke), packed with cool flight simulators and stuff and it just feels like a big, fun pilot playhouse-yet professional at the same time. I can't really describe the place other than to say FUN! There were a lot of kids (full time airline pilot cadets in training) that looked to be in their early 20's or maybe late teens buzzing around in the learning labs and hallways that made me feel 20 years younger just by the energy in the place. Everybody was talking about airplanes and helicopters and were kind of working together to help one another learn using all the cool 'toys' the school has. I've never been in a learning environment quite like this. So cool! These guys have totally changed the way school is run. If I could go back in time I would've easily chosen this route instead of wasting 7 years in college and post grad. Seriously rethinking my current career in the legal world now! I can't wait to take my son there next weekend.

Once they figure out how you're paying and the amount you have. All of a sudden it's the full amount of the loan/scholarship you have. I swear it felt like it was all a show when a potential student is being showed around. Just didn't seem like a legit school.
