This is a beautiful church in Santander, located high above a hill. According to the tour guide, it is considered by many one of the most beautiful churches in Santander, it was built in 1890.
Its architecture presents a neo-Gothic style, its great height and luminosity stand out, built with simple materials; brick and concrete; all the walls of the temple have been masterly painted to give it a more luxurious appearance.
It has a Latin cross plan divided into three naves and a tower. Next to it lies the church and the school of the Jesuit order.
I was very taken by the beauty of this church....the frescoes and the artwork inside make this a mandatory stop for all those who love churches and are visiting Santander. read more
