We came back again this weekend forba birthday celebration and I was surprised when I saw the menu had changed and there was more variety to choose. The food was decent now, being the octopus risotto the star of the menu, although they have fallen into the unoriginality of all the "modern" restaurants in Madrid too: tuna tartar, steak tartar, ceviche ans the lot. The goats cheese lollypops were too strong and accompanied by ketchup. Nothing very New York in the menu, except for a burguer and a couple of sandwiches with american names. Needless to mention the omnipresent cheesecake. The brownie was very dry as well. All this would have been passable if the bill wouldnt have been almost 30€ per head. Not worthy the price at all and the service was terrible too. We had to keep on reminding them to bring the beers ans the waiters seemed busier playing and joking amongst themselves than serving the tables. Also at the booking time, as we were a party of 14, my friend was enquired about the tyoe of party and warned about certain rukes of behaviour (no fancy dress, no noise...), really?
As a positive comment I will say the deco is very nice, although nothing different from the thousand of other new places neobistro in Madrid.
If you eant to go there, do so for a drink. They have a good selection of whiskys, rums and gins, but the non alcoholic cocktails are not good at all.
