No need to wait in line at the booth…read moreinside the terminal if you don't have any special needs - you can walk straight out and wait to be guided the first taxi available by the representative at the taxi stop. A word of warning, Chamartin station is under construction and can be a nightmare to get out of a taxi during peak times... Currently, Spain still requires face masks to travel on any public transportation, so check the status of this rule before you anger the driver getting into the vehicle without a mask.

Lovely place, albeit a bit hard to find if you're unfamiliar with the Chamartin-Chamberi districts…read more The interior ambiance is a bit dark, which helps accentuate the 1960's-America/modern-industrial decor: neon on the brick walls, exposed vent system fixed to a very high ceiling, and black iron supports all call to mind a NYC taxi hub warehouse, where instead of an exposed mechanic's station the kitchen is open to public view, behind a wide series of plate-glass windows. The wait staff was attentive and hustling. We never wanted for drinks and our food was delivered on time and ready-to-eat. "Prensa iberico" is a loin dish that this place does especially well. Comes with a specie of pineapple chutney and rough-grated Italian cheese sprinkled over the meat. We were super-impressed with that! If you are looking for an upper-scale-but-too-ritzy place for a special dinner, let this place rank as a strong candidate.

The food was decent now, being the octopus risotto the star of the menu, although they have fallen into the unoriginality of all the "modern" restaurants in Madrid too: tuna tartar, steak tartar, ceviche ans the lot. The goats cheese lollypops were too strong and accompanied by ketchup. Nothing very New York in the menu, except for a burguer and a couple of sandwiches with american names. Needless to mention the omnipresent cheesecake. The brownie was very dry as well. All this would have been passable if the bill wouldnt have been almost 30€ per head. Not worthy the price at all and the service was terrible too. We had to keep on reminding them to bring the beers ans the waiters seemed busier playing and joking amongst themselves than serving the tables. Also at the booking time, as we were a party of 14, my friend was enquired about the tyoe of party and warned about certain rukes of behaviour (no fancy dress, no noise...), really? As a positive comment I will say the deco is very nice, although nothing different from the thousand of other new places neobistro in Madrid. If you eant to go there, do so for a drink. They have a good selection of whiskys, rums and gins, but the non alcoholic cocktails are not good at all.
