Of course, his most famous work was the two-part poetic drama Faust. Here in Frankfurt is a huge statue of the man and the nearby street and plaza are named for him. Charming old world style buildings blending in with modern high rises. What I loved is that you can also find plenty of cafés, German bakeries and restaurants on the Zeil to take a break. The Zeil is not only pedestrian-only, where you can stroll safely and really enjoy the experience, it is also in walking distance from the Hauptbahnhof (Train Station)

Especially on the weekends it is hard to walk, biking is virtually impossible although some extreme sport fans might actually enjoy it. During the weekends and the evening there are also many street musicians and artists so it is quite cool to go there and listen to music and watch the crowd go by. As a tourist it is a must place, but you are probably going to pass through it one way or the other it is regarded as the center of the city. cheers
