As a brown American woman from the South, finding a church home with a community similar to mine was challenging in Vermont. I appreciate the praise and worship team, but most importantly, the Bishop and Pastors are true Bible teachers, which is transformative. My wife and I had made the decision to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We tried a few different local churches but nothing felt right. We attended Ignite Church one Sunday morning, still in search of our new home, and we haven't looked back!! Ignite is purely about Jesus, your relationship with him and how they can keep you on track in entering the kingdom of Heaven. All of the Pastors and Bishop are very good at teaching you about Jesus and his life and adding real world context to it. The way they speak is very energetic, encouraging and inspiring. What I love most about them all is they truly love Jesus and they want you to love Jesus. I also love that they aren't forcing one religion or another down your throat, but truly want you to have the best relationship with Jesus as possible. The Spirit MOVES HERE! Pastor Todd brings the message and helps many, yes. I have found out recently however, this help is rather selective. He is an extremely good preacher, and can MINISTER!!! When he so chooses. My family members have been floundering for some time, and landed in his HOUSE. This last week this Church has installed mandates to tithe for the Choir? I am unaware of Religious mandate to pay to PRAY or be JOYOUS to God. He has been telling of GREAT CHANGES IN NEW ENGLAND!!! I AM a walking TESTAMENT to THE LORD OUR GOD!! and the day I met him, he couldn't get away from me fast enough. He's a busy man, I'll allow him that. I applaud his efforts in SO MANY arenas!! He is a LOUD VOICE! Since first sight I have also had something in the back of my gut eating at me........... Not sure what and I can't help but to think to myself one particular thought, every time I see him (something I learned from a friend in the public service industry)that I am not willing to share and possibly turn people against a good person. read more
