It was relatively quiet since only 5 tables had customers at them. There was music/noise coming from the kitchen. Most of the wait staff were seated at booths by the front door. They could have cleared tables or spot cleaned the floors. The cook did not season the food. A little salt goes a long way when cooking. It was good, but I like my soft boiled egg on the runny side, and the yolks were more like a soft hard-boiled egg. My wife had a berry crepe. We split an order of turkey sausage. I went in the bathroom. Someone was in the stall using the bathroom for a while. I heard the toilet flush. The stall door opened, the man who was bussing tables came out of the stall... Manager was at the front complaining loudly about corporate checks and then yelled at staff to download an app, this contiunued for 15 mins as servers didnt check their tables. The grill area was blasting music from their phone, not enjoyable music for guests. I observed many guests leaving soon after. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because the food was fairly tasty when it finally showed up. My friends order was placed three different times until they got it right. My order didn't even go in and waitress couldn't figure out why the kitchen couldn't get order right. The manager came over and made sure we knew it wasn't the kitchen that it had to be the way to order was put in. It took about 30 minutes before we got our food with all the hiccups. The manager knew this because she was standing around watching and was rather rude about the situation. She never one time offered a discount because of their screw up or said will calm your meal - nothing. With her attitude she made me feel like it was our fault. I will not go back. I felt that she should have stood up for her employees, apologized for the delay which was probably closer to 45 minutes and offered us at least a discount. She did none of the above. This IHOP definitely knows its way around a breakfast kitchen, but thats the only time I would go personally. The brunch/lunch menu is just kind of bland and honestly youll have a better lunch at cracker barrel or even waffle house. As a request from children. We decided to try out the IHOP in Aiken, S.C. son a Saturday at about 6pm. There was no wait time. We were seated quickly. Drinks served quickly. On the menu we tried the Classic Chicken Sandwich, Classic Eggs Benedict, Fresh Strawberries & Cream Biscuit, and the Jalepeño Kick burger. All the food was served quickly, and tasted as good. Portions were large enough.(if not more than we could eat.) The cost was relevant. The seating was away from others which was greatly appreciated. We shall return to this location in the future. Hubby and I went here as a late Valentine's date and it was really good. It's the nicest and cleanest IHOP I have ever been too, and our server Yolanda was a nut! She was funny, charismatic, and very involved. My hubby ordered a bacon combo that was supposed to come with four pieces of bacon, she rang it in as a basic combo that only came with two pieces, but she was quick to get my hubby the other two pieces without question. I ordered French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon and everything was delicious. At the end, we asked for a box to put our hash browns to take home to our dog because he loves hash browns, and she threw in some pancakes for him that were made extra or wrong for free and my dog went nuts for them. She continued to engage us in conversation as we were paying and was very interested in learning all about our fur baby. I didn't expect my experience here to be top notch but it was! I expressed my displeasure on their receipt review system and, to my surprise, received a phone call from Morgan, the manager within 24 hours. She apologized and invited us back in. Always a great experience even when we have a total family get together (could be anywhere from 3 to 10 people) the service is always great and the food always comes out quickly and correctly. I'm not a huge breakfast person so the portions are a little large for me. Last time we were in I had biscuits and gravy which came out looking awesome with the sausage links balanced on the slanted biscuits. As with most places, you never seem to get enough gravy (even though you can ask for more) I also had the red velvet pancakes (because who doesn't love red velvet anything) and they were very good, I would ask for the whipped cream seperate as the pancakes are warm and the cream seemed to melt and look more watery. My wife enjoyed her food and our son liked his chicken and waffles. We will continue to visit this location for future breakfasts and even some breakfast dinners. read more
