I went to the I Hop on central Ave in Yonkers NY recently, horrible service place was run down & dirty. I waited over 45 min for my food, yes they served coffee right away. I got do disgusted waiting so long, waitress never came back, so I decided finally to get up & walk out. I will never go back again to that location, they need to remodel & have better service. Typical IHOP, service was decent each time I've ventured in even on the busy Sat and Sun mornings.

I've never had to wait more than 2 minutes for a table here. Obviously if you go on a weekend morning, you're going to have to wait for a table anywhere. So don't pay mind to those saying service is slow or wait time is long. The service here is impeccable. I always get the same 2 ladies and they make me feel like I'm family. They're sooo sweet. The rudeness of the waitress drove us away. We were looking forward to an IHOP Sunday morning brunch. We called in to ask how much people are in line for tables. This waitress Natalie, told us its a 10-15 minute wait. We asked if it is ok to have us in queue already. if i could give 0 stars i would. went yesterday with some friends and had the worst dining experience ever. the place was empty except us and we still had to wait 20 minutes to get our orders taken. my lemon iced tea tasted like dirty sink water. the chicken we received with our pancakes was undercooked and when we were given more chicken in its place, it was still raw and bloody. then we had to wait for over an hour to get our receipts after complaining about the chicken and we tried to get charged more for just the pancakes than for our chicken and pancakes meal. had to speak to the manager who finally just made us pay for our drinks. will never be eating at this ihop or possibly any ihop ever again. read more

I was willing to overlook the fact that I had to go into the restaurant anyway even though we ordered curbside pickup. After being told our order would be ready at 130 waited on line for over 30 mins in a crowded area where social distancing was not even a thought. Wonderful time the waitress named Demesha was very nice, and prompt with our order. I haven't been to this IHOP since the late 1970's as I used to go there while on patrol as a Police Officer! The service was okay, and that was only because it was busy. Our server Cristina was nice as she usually is. However I didn't like the fact that when we went to close out our bill, the lady who I assume is the supervisor was a couple of things: 1) Unprofessional, because she was hostile not only towards Cristina but to me as well. 2) Told me to wait because she didn't want to honor my survey code, that my server told me to fill out so that I would able to get free pancakes. She told her she wasn't going to change the bill, so she can go to Robert who I am assuming is the manager to handle the issue. Unfortunately Robert was at lunch and couldn't come out but he did rely a message to Cristina to tell the supervisor of which she didn't like what was said. Overall the lady was being difficult and when I explained to her that she should've handled that situation differently and not conduct herself in that manner if front of the customer she rolled her eyes and slammed the register draw. Can you really mess up breakfast items? Yes. Our waitress was very sweet, but she got our orders completely mixed up. There were 4 of us, so that's a lot to get wrong. But we understood why, that place was packed and had a line waiting to get in. All the workers were going back and forth so much i felt bad. I normally order takeout on Fridays but from another location. Since I was shopping in the area, I figured I'd save myself time and order from this location. I called ahead and specifically told the girl (twice) that was taking my order that I did not want tomatoes on my omelette. I said it twice. Since I thought I was clear and considering the travel distance, I felt no need to check my food before I left. Once I arrived home, lo and behold, what do I see? A mountain of tomatoes smothering my omelette. I have an allergic reaction to tomatoes, so my food was ruined. I tried scraping the tomatoes off but when I cut into it and took a bite, the cold taste was there AND there were some tomatoes inside. I'm too far to return and I most certainly am not going to save it to take back another day. So I'll just call that $17 a loss and a lesson to be learned. This place should be ashamed of itself. Had breakfast there this morning and it was horrible and way overpriced. My only explanation can be is because this is in the Bronx they owner thinks he can overcharge for horrible food. My stack of pancakes crumbled and were not edible and when i said something to the person with me they answered "they fell apart because you put syrup on them". Well after some research I now know that the pancake batter was probably "old" and got a bit thick so they thinned it with water, could be one of the reasons the pancakes were a fail. My three pieces of turkey bacon had the consistency of a bad "beef jerky" chewy and rubbery like it was microwaved or something. This IHOP always has long lines and there are never any parking even though they have a parking lot. It's a small place not as big as you'd think. I see that other people are complaining that they have had long waits when they went there but I cannot say the same, at first I thought that I had the wrong Ihop but no it was the right one. I mean pretty much every Ihop is the same food wise so there is really no need in my opinion to make a comment on that one. Wrong orders, ignored, didn't have unsweetened iced tea (even though it was on the menu).

I ended up having the repeat my order 3 times and I got my food last while everyone else was halfway done. Avoid at all costs.

In the past I have had great experiences in this IHOP. However, this past Saturday was one of the worst experience I have ever had in any restaurant. My party and I were seated quickly but 20 minutes had passed before anyone came to take our order! The restaurant was nearly empty and there were plenty of waiters on the floor. When our waiter had finally came he took our order, two chicken Cobb salads with minor alterations and the New York cheesecake pancakes. After waiting another 41 minutes for our food, the waiter returned to our table with our order minus the alterations! He then returned to the kitchen and disappeared. He didn't even bother to give us an update on our food. When he returned with our salads, he had forgot to give us our honey mustard dressing, napkins and the raspberry tea, which had way too much syrup in it. I could literally count the amount of chicken that was in my salad and we were not given the eggs that comes with the order. Feeling disgusted, I waited for our waiter to come out so we could ask for the check but he had disappeared, once again. Even when he was notified by another employee, he still had refused to come out. We notified the manager, who seemed nonchalant about the whole ordeal. My experience was so bad that I could not find it in myself to tip my waiter, which is something I always do even when the service is subpar. This location needs to clean house like the one on 135th street because the employees that lack customer service skills are making them look bad as a whole. I'm willing to give this location another try but I cannot say I will be back any time soon. read more
