I live in Chattanooga and every time I come to Rome, my kids and I eat here! This is our breakfast spot! The food is always amazing, the staff is always so efficient and courteous and the GM Ashley runs this place like a well-oiled machine! It's always been a family friendly environment! Even on busy mornings (we go a lot on Sundays) the wait is never more than a few minutes! And they are so kid friendly! Love this place! 5 Stars! Highly recommend! Shawna was a wonderful waitress. She was so friendly and attentive. She made our visit a great pleasure.

We almost left! Was seated as soon as soon as my dad and I got there but had to wait to place our order almost 30 mins. we finally received our coffee pot but had to ask for cups!! Customers that came in after us was seated fed and left BEFORE we even received our food. We had ask another waitress why we were having to wait so long ( almost and hour). When our food finally came, my dad's omelette was cold and I ordered the rise & shine. I received two eggs, two bacon, NO HASHBROWNS, pancakes (which I did not order) and a fruit cup! When it came time to pay, we were already irritated and I hand walked the check to my waitress who acted like I wasn't even there and had to get another waitress to take the money. NO TIP LEFT!!! . They lost my business and I'll be going to Waffle House who knows how to treat their customers. read more

It's IHOP. Who hasn't had it? It's loud. You'll slip in the water on the floor as I did nearly falling in front of dozens of people who would've no doubt clapped. It's regular breakfast food. I've eaten at IHOP a dozen or more times I've never ordered anything other than breakfast. It's hard to mess up a pancake. You wait a long time like their pancakes have diamonds in them. It's always like a state fair in their dining rooms. Dishes clanking everywhere, kids screaming and kicking the tables. Old people yelling at each other that they can't hear what you just said. The staff looks like they would just assume corporate policy banned anyone under 15. The tables are usually sticky. Our server was Becca and she was very sweet, punctual, and personable. It was IHOP. The breakfast kings. It's all good. The menu shows you pictures. If you don't like one thing there's usually another. Go eat there. Or don't. They won't get their feelings hurt. read more

I visited this IHOP location while attending a friend of mine's wedding. Samantha, our waitress, was a delight. She was cordial and friendly and knew the menu extremely well. She was on time with the refills and handled the breakfast rush like a pro. I ordered the Smokehouse breakfast with scrambled eggs. The eggs had very little flavor. The bacon was cooked, but chewy. The country ham was good, as was the smoked sausage. The hash browns weren't cooked long enough and were stringy below the surface. The pancakes were great and the toast was good. The breakfast sampler had a variety of everything. Like the Smokehouse, the scrambled eggs had very little flavor or seasoning. The bacon seemed to be undercooked and floppy. The hash browns were similar to the ones I ordered. The pancakes and toast were good. The coffee was surprisingly good and the pot of coffee on the table allowed us to refill as needed and also fill a to-go cup. I wasn't disappointed in this visit, but I'm wondering if there was a newer cook this morning. read more

1 star is too many. When I arrived there were only 5 patrons. We were seated and order was taken. This happened at 7:50 a.m.. At 8:40, I noticed people who arrived after me had eaten and were leaving. Spoke with the waitress and her only reply was, we are short staffed. I had to ask another waitress for a manager. Managers response, oh, I had seen you all sitting there a long time. Now it's 8:40 with no food and has to leave for an appointment. Another table even commented that they were waiting a long time just to give their order. Could be a coincidence, but they were African American as well. read more

Ugh-rough morning at IHOP. We expected to wait on a Sunday Morning, but I went downhill from there. Our server tried, but everything worked against her. Ordered coffee, but they had run out of creamer. Their usual eggs weren't available either. Restaurant equipment was dated, dirty and not in hood repair. Servers apron was filthy. Would not recommend. Waffle house is cleaner. Long wait and then you get seated and wait 30 more minutes for them to get your drink order, and find a waitor for your table. We ordered kids pancakes with sugar free syrup and they neglected to tell us they have been out for days and they didn't understand why a child with diabetes couldn't eat regular syrup. I was at ihop yesterda. there was a young man in there for an interview. The manager told him that the job was already filled and didn't even interview him. I heard the young man say this was his first interview and he had an appointment at 2:30. Why would anyone let this young man come in there without calling him and let him know that he wasn't going to be interviewed. That is not the kind of business that I want to give my money to. The worst food and service I've ever received in my life. I stood there for 10 mins trying to place my order(NO ONE was in the restaurant eating at this time) finally got aggravated because the only server I seen was sitting at a table with someone (who was laying in the booth when I came back) and went outside and did my order online. Paid $25 for 6 pieces of steak that were supposed to be cooked medium, a tiny scoop of potatoes, and the nastiest rice I've ever eaten. HIGHLY dissatisfied! read more

This Ihop has become one of our usual haunts for breakfast on the weekends. Like any other Ihop, it has the usual selection of omelettes, pancakes, French toast, and the like. The waitstaff is very friendly, and began to recognize us as "regulars" after only a few visits. Some of the newer waitresses are a little slow and absent-minded, but we hope that this will improve as they gain experience. In addition, they're very accomodating in terms of being able to substitute one thing on the menu for another - we've never had a request they haven't been able to accomodate (and we make a lot of them!). This is definitely not fine dining by anyone's standards, but is a good place to catch a quick bite without much fuss. Lastly, a word of caution: it gets very busy here on weekend mornings (especially with the after-church crowd on Sundays), so avoid these times if you're impatient. read more

After having my order door dashed, my husband noticed his monster burger only had lettuce, meat and cheese. We only said no tomato. Where is the Ihop sauce, onions, pickles? After calling and speaking with Beth, she stated the cook remembered putting them on there as if we would lie about that. After asking to speak with a manager I was informed there is not a mgr at night and there is not a team lead, they are just all for one. When asking for a refund they advised me I would have to get with Door Dash. They are not the ones who forgot half the burger. read more

I've always loved ihop but today they went above and beyond on their service. Don't judge, but totally ordered doordash breakfast from them today. I was being picky and really wanted just their original buttermilk pancakes but to add chocolate chip onto it. On doordash they wouldn't let me add it so I called the restaurant and the service on the phone was amazing. She told me she would go back to the kitchen and add the chocolate chips on there for me. This is where I go when I'm craving French toast. Normally it's great food with moderate service. We went this morning and it was not a good experience. I asked for chocolate milk and was brought coffee. When our order came my hash browns were missing. The eggs of the person I was with were ice cold. When they brought fresh, hot eggs the plate was dirty. Asked for hash browns and bacon to be cooked extra crispy and neither were done correctly (usually never is here). The service isn't bad, but the kitchen needs to get it together. We could hear many other complaints about the kitchen putting out wrong orders from where we were sitting. Next time I'll just make French toast at home. read more

DISGUSTING. We received horrible service from a waitress thy was extremely rude. The place was filthy. We waited so long for out food our children fell asleep, the waiter who was supposed to take our order skipped our table and then when we asked them to take the order they said we would have to wait until he had the chance when he had already skipped our table and taken others service that came in after us. The waiters were sitting all over the tables and counters were people put their food. One of the waiters went outside and smoked a cigarette only to return inside and not wash his hands. The waiter who was supposed to take our order had long hair that was soaked with sweat and was flicking it all around while carrying food and was blowing flys off the customers food with his mouth. I have never been here and had such a horrible experience and I can 100 % say I will NEVER be back. read more

I never go here, however I have a friend that loves IHOP so I had to go the other day. I got something off the healthy menu. It was egg whites topped with salsa and avocado, with a side of roasted potatoes and 2 pancakes I got the salsa on the side thank goodness because it looked like ketchup. The food was fine kinda hard to mess up plain eggs and fresh avocado. BUT I had water to drink and my waitress didn't take care of me on that, my friend had a coke and it was always full but I had to ask her for more water several times. Also the restaurant is in need of major repairs and or a remodel, the issues with the building give it a dirty appearance inside which is no very appetizing. Worst experience ever at this location. Called to be seated at our table at 3:32. A lady came to our table roughly 5-7 minutes after we were seated to get our drink order. We went ahead and gave her our food order as well. Drinks arrived after 15-20 minutes of waiting after she took our order. Another 20+ minutes went by and no food. I questioned where our order was. The only response was ' we been busy". Finally after waiting 50 minutes after taking our order was she started the "we been busy" talk. I asked why 3 groups of people who were seated after our group was had already got their food, ate, and left or were leaving. At this point she became very rude and hateful and seemed to care less about the situation. At this point, I asked to speak to a manager. She walked off mumbling that we could have a discount or something, but no manager. 59 minutes after being seated, the first 2 plates of food arrived. Roughly 2-3 minutes before the next and so on. A waiter started helping her trying to help us. She began to have that nasty attitude again. At that point, he took over her table and sent her to roll silverware. This waiter was great and did a great job taking care of us from then on. A discount or something like the rude / snotty waitress mentioned multiple times would have been nice for our trouble. We were the last ones in the building for over 20 minutes before our food started to arrive. We had to endure the smell of the mopping and cleaning chemicals they were using to shut down for the day in our section we were seated in before and during our meal. Won't be back to this location, but thankful the young man that finally sent the snotty lady on and helped us to wrap things up. FYI... if any IHOP management reads this review, I would be happy to provide names of those individuals, and my transaction number for my meal. Well, where do I start? At least we were seated promptly. After that, it went downhill real fast. Took FOREVER to get waited on. People seated after us on either side were waited on, and served before us.. Then, she got my daughters order wrong. There were only the 2 of us and they do write these things down, don't they? .AND to top it off we were "TREATED" to a trashy redneck concert from the table behind us where PaPa Bear and baby girl bear were singing 'IF YOU'RE HAPPY AND YOU KNOW IT'.. OMG.. Then PaPa Bear and one of the trashy camo tank top wearing females (maybe Mama Bear) gave the restaurant a lovely rendition of 'THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF MINE'. What I wouldn't give to be able to eat at a restaurant without all this CRAP going on around me.. I guess this is what I deserved for trying to have a peaceful breakfast with my daughter.. Tonight was a very horrible experience for me and my mother at this place. Our server Christian was very unprofessional in his attire and the way he spoke to the guess. His hair was everywhere and his shirt was unbuttoned exposing ear buds and necklace. He wasn't wearing an apron I had to ask his name (no nametag). I've been here before and he wasn't my server but was serving other guest in the same manner. Unfortunately tonight he was the only server available and it was absolutely unsatisfactory. There was only one other table of guest and he was slow about serving both. I spoke to the other party after my meal and they were also upset about his service. This young man shouldn't be serving anybody. If I come back there and he's there I won't be eating there. He has no respect for the customers or himself and I think something should be done about it. I liked the food but this server sucks and I advise others to not eat there when he's working. read more
