Who doesn't love a huge furniture store like IKEA? In classic IKEA fashion, prices are low and there are so many awesome trinkets and such to buy that could potentially make your life easier. My family and I went here recently to get some home goods since we just moved to Sicily. This IKEA is just like any other IKEA except everything is Italian! The staff is super friendly and the store is very clean. Since I came during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a bummer that the food court was closed. I'll just have to come back sometime to consume some delicious Swedish meatballs in the beautiful island of Sicily. read more
So this was my first visit to IKEA here in Sicily and my first visit to an IKEA ever........ I planned on going to one in Japan for over 3 years and never made it. I went solely to walk around and see what all the hype was about. I get it now. There are so many practical applications for the items sold in that store and I will have to restrain myself when I go back. Be careful where and how you park to avoid get your car hit or snuggled up to by another driver. Also, you may need Google Translate if you need to resolve any issues with the staff. I look forward to going back so for those familiar with IKEA will probably feel at home. read more
Since we are temporarly in a rental here in Sicily, there's always something that's needed so off to IKEA we went. The cafe is located on the second floor so we were able to grab a quick bite-the meatballs of course! What I like about this IKEA is unlike the one back in Arizona it doesn't take you all day to get out. The exit is near the entrance so if you are just looking to pick up a few things you make your way down the stairs off the 2nd floor and walk a bit thru a few areas and you're in the warehouse picking out your treasures. I needed a few little cheapy tables and of course I can't leave this store without the kids finding some treasures of their own (hand puppets, markers). There are so many adorable finds for kids room, storage, housewares and entire living home areas can be purchased here. We went thru the self-check out and thank goodness the IKEA rep spoke some English when we didn't understand the screen while paying. Lately, it seems like all I say is, "Non parlo Italiano!" Time to get crackin' on that Rosetta Stone! Love the prices here! read more
