First of all, I can't stop laughing at people complaining about parking. It just opened! What did you think was going to happen?! We went on a sunday afternoon to check it out and my boyfriend wanted to see if he could find a few things for his house. It took us a little while to park. They had police directing traffic as well as staff in the parking lot helping people find spots. It really didn't take that long at all. Once we got into the store, we just started following the arrows! I had been to ikea in Germany so I kinda knew what to expect already. We walked through the whole store and unfortunately didn't find what he was looking for, but I added a bunch of stuff to the list of what I wanted! We also skipped the cafe but it smelled really good! I've had the food at the IKEA in Germany and I was looking forward to having it here. I'll definitely make a stop on my next trip back. If you don't like crowds or waiting a little bit for a parking spot, maybe wait a month or 2 before you go. Other than that, its definitely worth it! read more

I've always loved shopping at Ikea and I am so excited that I have one even nearer to me! I was not dissapointed at all, except it was crazy crowded, but that due to its newness. One big big big dissapointment was the coffee. I have gome to just about every Ikea in Texas, and besides the great bargains and uniqueness of Ikea my other weakness was their coffee. The coffee here at this location is sooooo lousy!! That why it wasn't 5 stars. The coffee was one of my highlights. I really hope Ikea peeps read this and correct the coffee situation. Wow so much to see and so much you may want! The staff was very polite and accommodating even thought there was a ton of people at the store. They kept their patience. Food was delicious but the ran out of forks and coffee and iced tea. Which is understandable if it was due to the amount of people they had visiting. read more

IKEA in Live Oak just opened. As you might expect the staff is still learning how to do their jobs, however, they are all very positive, friendly, and helpful. Once the hype dies down this location will be a convenient place for household goods of all types. Right now they are out of a lot of the smaller cult favorites like the Swedish Meatballs, princess cakes, and Swedish pancakes. I'll be back once the crowds die down and their inventory has been restocked!!! read more

IKEA has had a place in my heart from the location in Austin Texas to the one right here in live oak. The staff is beyond friendly and has always been extremely helpful. They also have plenty of things in stock to get the items on the showroom floor that day. read more

So I reallllly wanted to order a bench that is no longer in production. Out of stock online and instore besides the display. However, I was willing to take the display if they would let me. Associate Andrew went above and beyond for me! He was unable to get ahold of the big bosses possible left facility. However, he did ask other managers and went way above for me! Never again. The order in store then wait in the pick up area for an inordinate amount of time is unacceptable. Asking for updates got me no assistance other than someone is working on it. Go to Round Rock. Much more efficient- which isn't saying much. read more

Horrible experience with a refund. I have been waiting almost a month for my refund to be processed. Have called customer service 3 times and have been told it is sitting on a supervisor's desk for approval. I am considering never purchasing another item from them again. Funny how the $90 came out of my account instantly, but the refund is taking almost a month to be processed. Be aware of this and stay away. read more

I wish I could give zero stars for their customer service. I was with my 9 year old to get a click and collect item. I received the items and of course they are pretty big boxes which I expected. We went out to the car where I was told someone would be out to help load them. No one was out there until I got to the last box and almost dropped it. Came here with a group of friends. Was looking for some new shelves. Didn't find exactly what I wanted, but found a close second. The food wasn't bad, but not worth all of the hype. i wish i could give zero stars bought chair cushions that were marked as 4 dollars and ended up being 10 dollars at checkout. also spent 40 minutes looking for a blanket. not near any displays and they had about 9 of them on display and the website said there was 7 for sale. took talking to 4 workers to find out they're out of stock. bad organization, unhelpful workers, never coming back. edit: almost bought the blanket online but it was gonna charge 9 dollars for shipping. not worth the effort and definitely not worth 42 dollars. read more

Good store ,prices are ok , saw a pillow I wanted . But the display looked similar but wasn't the same . Was not as firm as the display . They don't provide plastic bags for your items but do sell them . She said company didn't believe in plastic bags ,but yet they use plastic trash bags . I figured company doesn't want to spend money to provide the customers with a bag to take their items . Eagle pass banned the plastic bag for a year ,but too many people complained they they brought the plastic bag bag to the city of eagle pass . read more

I came with my daughter opening weekend just to be part of the madness and it was really fun. I've now come back a few weeks later to actually buy some things but can't even get in the parking lot because the cops won't let anyone in. I don't understand how you built an IKEA in the 7th largest city in the US and have MINIMAL parking to support it! This is the 5th IKEA I've been to and this is by far the worst parking!! PSA - Don't buy anything you will need (bedroom furniture, furniture in general). It will break within 6 months! Some of the employees are rude, but not all of them. Giving this a 1 star because the automated system is terrible, and furniture is made with cheap materials. The automated system pushed me through to speak with someone, and then immediately hung up or said they were too busy, and hung up. Horrible experience. I will never buy anything I actually need from here (bed, sofa etc.). How can something make it so difficult to speak with an customer support employee with how far we've come to technology? Really disappointed, and I don't feel supported by the bed I bought (lol), or IKEA! Hopefully something changes with this company. read more

I ordered 2 dressers online and we drove 2 hours to go get them on Nov. 6th on a Saturday. Waited in curbside for about another 2 hours, they were having some issues then we found out that they were closing the store due to a power outage. I called the next day to find out more about my order maybe if they could ship it because I can't drive another 2 hours again. Got in contact with customer service and they submitted a ticket and said someone from the store will contact me in about 24 hours, I didn't hear back so I contacted customer service again, turns out the store doesn't have a direct phone line and customer service has no control over the what the store does. So I was told to just wait for someone to contact me. Will not be shopping at IKEA ever again. Such a horrible experience. read more

I love this place! We used to drive to Roundrock a couple times a year but I'm so grateful that IKEA is now in my neighborhood! If it's your first visit allow yourself 2 hours to get through the store it is like a maze, an a-mazing maze of beautifully decorated rooms and vignettes to get your creative imagination going and to see all the things you don't know you needed! Some items that are on display will be available to just toss in your cart others will need to be pickup up in the warehouse area. There is a touchscreen monitor in the warehouse where you look up your item to find it in warehouse . This is not a mere shopping trip this is an experience! At the cafeteria try the Swedish meatballs WITH lingonberry sauce, I know it seems strange but trust me, it tasted amazing! Enjoy your day at IKEA and don't forget to get an ice cream cone on the way out! So yummy read more

Food is mediocre at best, definitely taste good if you're hungry though. The meatballs are usually bland and their side of veggies just taste like it was steamed and serve. Mashed potatoes are dry but the gravy saves it. Food is usually served lukewarm and is already cold by the time you sit down. The salad bar is okay but the two dressings are either sour or sweet... yuck. Drinks are pretty good just wish I knew what was in the drinks. As a former employee, $3 is great for the plate. Lots of stuff and ideas which makes it pretty overwhelming but in a good way. Abundant kitchen and bedroom ideas though i have never bought a kitchen or bedroom set from them so i can't vouch as to the quality but i have bought smaller items and they're decent quality and seem durable. read more

First time visiting an IKEA! Just because i love home decor so much all i really cared about were their items and the stagings but the the customer service sucks. My cashier was literally turned away from me. 180 degree turned away from me. She was talking to the cashier next to her and i was so confused because my presence was not acknowledged at all.. i wasn't sure if i was supposed to pay where i was placing my items so i kinda hesitated then she did like a half turn to charge and give me my total, without even making eye contact with me, and turned away to talk again.
