This is for the restaurant. It never disappoints. The lamb shank is delicious and as good as some I've had at some Michelin Star restaurants.
Of course, the meatballs w/ mash potatoes & gravy are always a hit. And one can't go wrong with the fish & chips.
The food is mostly standardized to a global level, but what sets this apart are the desserts, accompaniments, wine selections, coffee, service, and ambiance.
Customer service is a career here, not the employment of last resort as in some other places.
Putting it all together it's just "Better" than what I've experienced at many Ikea restaurants in other countries. ... hence this review. Try the lamb shank ...it's worth it.
The surrounding area is a light industrial business park with some other big box stores and a few American fast food places. ...nothing to rave about.
Though, it's a very convenient location 8 minutes from CDG airport and a good place to stop with hungry family for a quick, inexpensive meal that is better than the surrounding choices. Massive free parking, which a +++ anywhere in the Paris metro area.
The store itself is worth the drive from Paris due to the broader on-site inventory. Places in the City are overall smaller with less inventory and exhibits. read more
