I had the pleasure of visiting IKid Academy to read my book to the children, and I was truly blown away by the experience. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the care, structure, and positive energy throughout the entire academy. The staff was attentive, nurturing, and fully engaged with the children -- it was beautiful to see. During storytime, the children impressed me with their focus, discipline, and excitement to participate. They listened so carefully and interacted with so much joy. We even created a fun little song together on the spot, and they jumped right in with bright smiles and enthusiasm. IKid Academy deserves a big congratulations for cultivating such a loving, organized, and enriching environment. I cannot say enough wonderful things about iKid academy. My son has been attending for over a year now and he has grown so much. The staff is loving, attentive, and are passionate about what they do. The director Olga is communicative and is extremely friendly. I receive picture often and status updates on my son's day. A good majority of the staff is Eastern European, so my son is learning to speak in English and Russian. I personally don't speak Russian, but we are learning together at home! Even in the toddler room, the day is structured. The facility is impeccably clean and is very safe. Being a first time mom, my son's safety was the #1 thing I looked at when exploring child care centers. I am confident that our son is well taken care of at iKid. I have absolutely no doubt that my son learnt a lot during his time at iKid Academy. He adjusted fairly well into daycare for the first time, and after about a month or two, actually started eating the soup they have for lunch every day. The food is made fresh and they get a good variety. It's not just cheddar snacks and Cheerios, it's fruits, yoghurt, oats and yes, sometimes Cheerios. They have the absolutely cheapest rates around for part time care, you can pick your days and were very flexible when I needed extra days. And of the majority of places that we were on the waitlist for, we're the quickest to have a spot open up. That said, the main reason why we left was that, one of his teachers didn't speak any English at all. My son is 18 months old now, was 14-15 months while we were there. We let the director, Olga, know that his speech was a concern of ours when we did the tour and were assured that all teachers spoke English. (Everyone is Russian is you haven't read other reviews) Now he did start saying new words the week we started, but weather or not it was coincidence, who knows. He's started copying me at home that week too. The secondary reason, was that my son was getting bitten and the teachers only saw it once. It's their literal job to watch them. I get it, sometimes you look away and stuff goes down. But he was bitten on 4 occasions and in the end I was told he was biting himself. Enough to leave a big red bite mark...he's never done that before and hasn't done it since leaving ikid. So either he was super stressed there or it wasn't my son biting himself. He's never been bitten at his current school. Other reasons why we didn't love the place: Regularly out of ratio, even after I told them that it was happening, I was told that the teacher was instructed to "poop quickly and get back"....no pun intended but where's the floater? Kids under 2 get screen time, especially at drop off Not sure they were always filling out the daily report properly....sometimes yes sometimes no. They were starving him of water initially and he was continually getting sunburned. They did listen when we told them to give him lots of water. They used someone else's rash cream on him and told me to bring some. I'd taken in a brand new tube on day 1 which was located in a drawer with his sunscreen...so not sure who's sunscreen he was wearing either. I was told that my son wasn't picking his feet up when he's walking and falling down a lot. I was told a few times...and it confused me because some kids are not even walking by then! He's 15 months old!! Olga made a big deal about it on our last day. Told me to practice with him at home. She told me that an OT would be concerned. Which my OT, and one of my best friends, is NOT. They don't have an app for daily reports and photos but you get texted photos from the director. If there's other kids in the photo you get a group text with their parents, which I feel like is a bit of a security breech. Sometimes you dont get the texts till 10pm that day, and usually you get them every day. But apparently their internet is slow? The teachers take the pictures on iPads and they all get uploaded to the directors phone or computer at the same time. I'm sorry but I want the photos while I'm at work missing him, now while I'm sleeping. read more

This is clearly a business that was opened to generate money. It is run by an unfriendly director that runs this place like a tight ship. She is more like a commanding officer than a loving school director. Our initial tour was set up with everyone on their best behavior. It seemed very fake and staged. She would have to go into certain classrooms for about 5 minutes before we were able to enter which seemed really odd. The second time, I wanted to observe a class. She seemed very annoyed by this request, but I went anyway because I wanted to be sure what was actually going on inside the classrooms and of course as I suspected, the second time around was completely different. Not only do NONE of the teacher smile there, they can barely speak English. There is no love at this daycare. I got a very bad vibe from the whole experience. Not once did any of them smile. Not to mention she had to go into each classroom first and close the door before we were allowed in. What are you doing in there that requires that? What are you hiding? On top of that, the second visit, she made me wait 10 minutes to "get it ready" before I was able to observe. What are you doing for 10 minutes? Very very shady. No parent should ever have to wait to see their child or observe a classroom. It should always be readily available without you having to leave for 10 minutes to prepare for us to see our kid of observe. I've take many other tours and not once did the director ask me to wait to check inside a classroom for that long before entering. They always let me just walk in with them right away. I observed one of the toddler classes. Not once did the 2 teachers pick up any of them or play with them. They just sat in their chairs looking lethargic and unenthusiastic, even with me in their with them observing - how completely absurd is that?! Then one of them proceeded to show me a boy with what appeared to have gang green on his big toe. Not only was it not bandaged up as it should have been, it was just covered with a sock. He was clearly in pain and should not have been allowed to come there until it recovered. Any infection minor or major should be taken seriously. That toe needed medical attention and it looked infectious. That is a serious danger to the other children around. The director never called me back after that visit, never even had the courtesy to follow up even though I asked her to to have a simple chat. I was more than kind and polite to her the entire two visits. Unfortunately, I left their completely mortified and sad for the other children. I used to be a pre-school teacher and I would never fathom just sitting around while kids are crying and needing love and attention. PARENTS BEWARE. read more

I can't saw enough good things! I have a 20 month old and an almost 4 year old that both go here. We've been coming since my oldest turned one. The kids are engaged, educated, and nurtured all throughout the day. The director (Olga) is easy to get ahold of, and wonderful about keeping you informed, or addressing any questions you have. They are also really great about sending pictures almost every day of the kids happy and smiling. Which just warms my heart as a working mom to see that they are enjoying themselves during the school day. read more

Despite the one negative review this daycare center has Ikid Academy is great. We have been bringing our son here since he was six weeks old (no, I do not work here nor am I affiliated with anyone who does). The director is very responsive and sends us pictures every day via text of our baby and he always looks happy. The teachers keep us up-to-date with his health and happiness and every day we get a written report of how much he slept, ate and how many diapers he went through. The facility is always really clean, colorful and bright and the tuition is reasonable (considering the area). The director, Olga, even lets us drop off our son and pay for an extra day in daytime emergencies (we only go part time usually), which is very helpful. Security is as expected. Parents must clock their children in and out everyday using a fingerprint system and the doors are only accessible using key fobs. Yes, some of the teachers only speak a little bit of English (many of them are Russian), but the director can be reached anytime and can translate if needed. It's not a big deal. They are very transparent about their policies and tuition rates on their websites, which is nice. I wish tuition was a little cheaper, but it's reasonable for being in a Denver suburb. I highly recommend iKid Academy to anyone that is looking for child care! The teachers and the owner Olga all genuinely care about the kids. My son has been going there since he was 15 months old and is now almost 2 1/2. The amount he has learned is amazing! Everyday the teachers tell us what he ate, how he slept, and give us his little art projects that he does (usually 2 to 3 everyday which is great). They have a kitchen so all of the meals they eat are home-cooked and nutritious. The facility is clean and well maintained. I have never once seen anything questionable in any of the classrooms by son has been in. The outside play area is great and is divided into 3 sections so the bigger kids are not knocking over the littler ones. When dropping my son off and picking him up, he always runs to his teachers to give them hugs and kisses hello/good-bye so that alone is my constant reassurance that he is well taken care of and genuinely cared about by them. We ended up at this day care center by pure accident - needed to get enrolled very quickly and the center that we were in line didn't have any spaces. Naturally, we were somewhat skeptical as it was not quite what we had in mind and was not ideally located for us. Looking back a year, we feel it was a serendipitous set of circumstances that brought us there. First of all, your kids get more individual attention that in any other day care center we've dealt with (and there were a few). Staff makes sure that kids don't run around half naked if parents forgot to bring warm clothes or don't play outside in sweaters and long sleeve shirts when it's 90F with blazing sun. This is something that most day care centers don't do or don't do very diligently. Do we get very "persistent" reminders to bring appropriate clothing next time? Absolutely! But kids don't go cold or too hot at any rate. They actually remember how and what each kid had to eat and can report back, in surprising amount of details, on the activities that each kid did and how well, or not so well, he or she did. In most other places, information like that had to be pried out of teachers and, even then, chances are you won't get too many details. Food is another of their strong areas - kids actually get professionally cooked home made meals, which is, for a daycare of their size, is pretty much unheard of. Not heated pre-packaged food, but real restaurant quality meals with owners shopping personally for groceries and food prepared by professional cooks. Weekly menus make parents drool when reading it and I have yet to hear of anybody complain that kids are not eating. Another of their strong areas are cleanliness and security. The place is spotless with each room and common areas scrubbed every day. The center is very bright and inviting overall and is equipped with the state of the art security system. There is plenty of parking and the center is easily accessible from pretty much everywhere in South Aurora area. All and all - highly recommend for anybody looking for a quality daycare center in that area. read more

My daughter went there from 1 - 5 years and she absolutely loved it. They totally prepare them for Kindergarten, from reading to knowing there numbers, seasons e.t.c... I would recommend ikid academy to any parent, it was definitely a wonderful experience for my daughter and still misses her teachers to this day! read more

Our family couldn't be happier with the care we receive at IKid. My two sons attend IKid and the staff are very attentive and caring with the children. They also have great communication with the parents about the children and keep us informed of concerns. The director is very accommodating and flexible when needed. She is also very responsive when contacted and keeps me updated of the boys daily activities by sending pictures and texts. Our boys flourish there. Olga and her team have built a really impressive day care for the families of Aurora. I'm sad to switch to a different day care due to reasons beyond my control, but I'm more nervous that no other day care will reach my expectations after Olga has set them so high. My daughter has been at iKid Academy for about 5 months now. Within a week she got used to the Day Care and the teachers there. She was extremely difficult at first because she has been staying at home for most of her life. The day care has taught her how to feed herself at 19 months (yes she was behind). They also teach her many words that I have not taught her yet and she even speaks a little Russian now! Bonus! She is now two and they started to potty train her for us which is awesome. She is much more social now and learns how to play well with others. I've been to several day cares and I have to say that this is the best day care that we have been to. It is bright and clean; the foods are great and plentiful. The teachers are very nice. She comes home with art work every day, learning about animals, shapes, colors, and letters. They even have music classes once a week. I would recommend to all. read more

We LOVE this daycare, we have been to other companies in the area and it is really about the people who work there. Each place has it's small hiccups, but these two locations are amazing! The prices for these locations are the lowest in the areas. We started at the Smoky Hill Location when it opened (Jan 2020) and loved the teachers there (even saw a few from our previous center take jobs here). We were going three days a week. Then COVID hit, they needed to temporarily close down the new location because kids were dropping out. Olga (the owner) offered to accommodate any kids from Smoky Hill to their Quincy location. We ended up needing to change our part-time care to full-time, as we were both working from home with COVID and just couldn't make it work. She did it! Took both our kids and added days NO PROBLEM! They implemented great COVID measures. Six weeks we had our kids at the Quincy location and as soon as the Smoky opened up again we went back to the part-time hours. They kept us informed and made it as smooth as possible. Our toddler and infant love both locations and the teachers at both are amazing, caring and wonderful! The food is fantastic and both sites have great playground outside options. Inside both facilities is gorgeously done and great play rooms as well. The Smoky Hill location is a little less organized, I think because Olga isn't on site, but they are doing their best and with the times these days it super crazy and they are still in year one. AND other companies in the area are just the same or less organized form our experiences... You can always call Olga for anything! We love Olga! I feel my children are always safe and having a wonderful educational day while I am working. read more

It's been 6 months since our son began at iKid and we are even happier than we were before which I didn't think was possible. He has moved up a class and our experience with his new teachers is just as incredible! You can tell everyone here loves each of these children as if they were genuinely their own. My son hugs and kisses his teachers as soon as he gets there and always before he leaves. If you haven't found a daycare yet, hands down, this IS your choice! Everyone of course has their own experience and all are different, however, I felt a need to post how I feel about iKid. Olga, is amazing. She genuinely cares about each child that walks into her doors. My son is 11 months old and just began about three weeks ago. Yes, both of his teachers are fluent in Russian but are equally as fluent in English. The first day, I will admit, there was some confusion about his bottles/amount of formula, however, when I expressed concern Olga addressed it, with me, and the teachers together. We discovered the disconnect and luckily it was a misunderstanding. Since then extra care has been taken by the staff and my son seems to love his teachers and his friends. Every morning I drop him off at least one of the teachers comes directly to him, speaks to him, let's him warm up and then takes him into her arms. It's such a comforting environment to leave him in. Even the infant room seems so organized and on routine. Nap times seems flawless. Meal times run smoothly. I can't say enough about how the staff has gone above and beyond to make our family's transition into daycare seemless. I would recommend this daycare to anyone. read more
