We didn't have them the second time we showed up but luckily our waitress from the night before grabbed us as we were being turned away and made room for us with another waitress. The wine cellar was amazing and so was the pricing. The food is without saying , just wonderfully home cooked. When you first walk in you are greeted by nicely dressed waiters in black jackets who then escort you to your table and then the view hits you, it just takes your breath away! We so enjoyed the textures, flavors, and presentation. Our waiters were attentive without hovering. Beppe is so warm and personable and makes his rounds to each table. What a kind, genuinely patient man. You feel like a guest in their home. He took the time to explain their slow cooking process and how they have updated their dishes from 20 years ago. They slow cook their meats at 75 degrees (167 degrees Fahrenheit) for 18 hours. The result is just so refined. I don't have the words to explain it. Bookmark this place now, and do visit when in Mandello del Lario. (The home of Moto Guzzi Motorcycles) Of course we will be back at least one more time before we depart Como. Just came back from a two week trip in Italy with my wife to visit the family…read more The next restaurants will be reviews of ristorante that I visited Il Giardinetto is situated on the shore of Lake Como, unfortunately Yelp wouldn't recognize the lists of restaurants I visited. The view is absolutely stunning as well as the food. I had the risotto with mushrooms as an appetizer and the spaghetti con Missoltini, as an entree. My wife had the Stracciatella and the Veal Milanese. Panna cotta and Tiramisu were our desserts. A must go restaurant if you are visiting Mandello Del Lario on Lake Como.
