Based on great reviews across various sites, I decided to give this place a try, but it was quite disappointing. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly, but that's where the positives ended.
I ordered the fried artichoke with cheese, stuffed ravioli, and beef with mushrooms. The artichokes were crispy and well-cooked but lacked seasoning, especially salt. The ravioli, which was supposed to come with sage and butter, was incredibly bland. The only saving grace was the few sprigs of sage on top. As for the beef, it was inedible--arriving cold and completely lacking in seasoning. The mushrooms tasted like they were canned, and the beef was smothered in an overwhelming sauce or gravy.
I'm honestly not sure how this place received such great reviews, as my experience didn't live up to the hype at all. read more
