It is 100% a "cool" place. And as such, they have developed this very characteristic symptom of coolness (evidence of this disease all over Europe) of "we do not accept reservation". But the food did not convince me enough to have me wait again for so long. It was good but nothing spectacular. Probably i am not cool enough. So, what did we eat? Some salmon, with very very dry rice: i did not like at all. Some anchovies with spinach and burrata: this one i liked a lot, i find the alliances of these different ingredients very tasty. A falafel: it was ok, nothing special. Then for dessert, the mini bombe were good and the panna cotta was very good too. It is a very small french wine and cheese shop with a small but nice selection of french pantry items that would might be hard to find elsewhere. They have a couple of sizes/brands of cassoulet for example. They had a small but nice cheeses selection (all French) and a great wine selection. Prices are very reasonable. I got a Reblochon, a small cylinder shaped (bondes) goats milk cheese which was great, a Veuve Pelletier for €30 and a Fontbreuil Bordeaux Sauvignon (cant recall the price). The shopkeeper gave me a olive tapenade for free. French cheeses and wines are available elsewhere but this little shop brings together a nice collection and some harder to get pantry items at good prices. The only think it is missing is a baguette and maybe a few more options for bread/crackers.
