If you're in the area, or close, or planning a vacation somewhere nearby, go. Make it a point, it's well worth a stop (hola, Michelin), go twice. And order rice. Lots of it. Order the home made ice cream, or the violet ice cream. Ask if there's anything new that they've added from their travels and imagination. See the art on the walls, listen to the blues wafting in from the courtyard. You'll find the leisure afternoon full of flavors and technique from around the world and back again. In the end, it comes back to the rice. A beautiful little restaurant near some spectacular beaches with outstanding food and a wonderful staff - not sure what else one could ask for. They also have dessert drinks too, meaning you can have a late night drink here too. They are open late and have many places to sit and relax and enjoy the glorious creations. When we are in Mojacar, we go as much as possible. It is great because they are open very late, and everyone stops by throughout the day and night. It's a local hot spot right on the main stretch of town and close to the beach. There are often many people but they have abundant seating so finding a place is usually easy. I don't know why you can't find gelato this good in more places but there is definitely a special technique they use and the quality of ingredients must be hand picked to make it stand head and shoulders above all the other gelato shops here, and most other places I have been around the world. If you are in Mojacar, you must try their gelato! I love the two owners who are also always in the shop working away. They make different flavors all the time and have so many to choose no matter what your taste.
