I do not bestow the 5th star lightly, yet Il Grillo checked all the boxes.
Charming, rustic, low-key, scuola vecchia/old school. Full of locals, reservations recommended.
The story :
Fresh bread, olive oil, salt and pepper, aqua frizzante, and a liter of very good local red. That's the start or foundation.
Picci pasta arabiata, al dente, large portion. Legit.
Second plate : cannot put into words the stupendously delishious wild boar chunks immersed in a savory fig reduction, a tinge of sweet. Bravo.
