The people on the neighbouring table were enthusing about their prawns, and they did look and smell delicious. In the end, I chose to have some grilled squid which was cooked to perfection, while my friends had a Spaghetti al frutti di mare and a spaghetti e gorgonzola - which I have to say didn't look as appetising as mine did! Nevertheless, we all enjoyed our meals and the lively atmosphere inside and outside the restaurant contributed along with the good food. It looks and tastes like garlic sauce from a kebab shop best left for he kebabs and the dry bread is an easy miss.

I had a 4 cheese pizza, which came to EUR7 and was absolutely delicious. The people on the table next to us had some amazing looking fish dishes, that came with a massive whole fish - I'll try that if I end up here again. On the way out the owner stopped us and asked whether we'd like a shot of grappa, so we took our coats back off and sat down again! It turns out that I'm not a big fan of grappa, but it's the thought that counts, right? If I have another good experience here I'll probably move it up to 5 stars, but for now 4 will do.

They don't though take cards (definitely not Mastercard), like many places in Hamburg, so be sure to have enough cash on you to cover every eventuality.

It may well be a victim of it's own success. They've got a lot more customers now, but no more staff. In fact they have less staff, and they've put the prices up! The waiters are generally incompetent. Today we were seven people. The first two meals came, then we waited 5 minutes for the next two. We had to wait a further 20 minutes for the last three, while repeating our order for three separate waiters. When the last three were finally ready they were sitting on the counter for a few minutes with no-one to bring them over, so one of the chefs motioned to us that we should just pick them up ourselves If this was the first time that I'd had such a bad experience I'd let it pass, but they were almost as bad the last time (1 month ago). I just can't let it pass. The food is still decent, but it's definitely not worth the experience that comes with it.

Ita quite obvious this restaurant serves certain people better and faster, most probably the more influential, richer crowd. Sorry for being an average guy.
