Great location on the pier to sit outside to enjoy the view. However, their bar menu was lacking (mostly bottled beer and generic "red" "white" and "prosecco" wine selections. They did have a limited selection of hard liquor.
We came across this place looking for a place to grab a drink once we realized that Birreria Lowenbrau was closed in the middle of the afternoon. The sun happened to peek out so we decided to find a place with outdoor seating. When I saw the "Bar Gelateria" outside, I thought we might there all night!
After looking at the menu, we decided that we would only have one drink. I opted to go all out (and completely touristy) and get a gelato cocktail: Pinka Colada, basically a Pina Colada made with coconut gelato and grenadine. It was very tasty but could only stomach one because of how sweet it was. My boyfriend got a generic glass of "prosecco" which he thought was just fine. The total (which included some complimentary potato chips) was 10 Euro - quite reasonable for a fancy cocktail and a glass of wine.
We left on a sugar high! I noticed that they had a few vegan gelato options.
Our server was very nice.
They only had a Turkish toilet; so be warned. And overall, it seemed like the place could be a little bit cleaner. read more
