Il sale is a small restaurant on the hills above San Vincenzo. It's part of the Poggio ai santi agritourismo.
To make it very short: I would give it a six star rating if I could.
The food is magnficient. The menu consists of a "al terre" and "al mare" part. Although Toscany is normally not known for their seafood dishes chief Danny offers expectional and really inspiring dishes around fish and sea food.
The "terre" part is very nice too. It is based on traditional toscan dishes which are just a bit refined to make it a really memorable experience.
What is also noteable is that the order is taken by the executive chief himself (Danny) and he loves to explain every dish in great detail.
They also hold one michelin star (2010). read more
