We had the fish of the day (amberjack) with homemade chips on a bed of delicious sauce and the pasta with pistacchio pesto. Both were amazing. A wonderful wine list. The staff were very friendly and stopped to have a really great conversation about Italian vs California wines. They have a small store and we took home a bottle of wine and a jar of pesto sauce. The non-seafood pastas were just so-so. We also ordered the pasta with truffles and pasta alla Nerano (pasta with zucchini sauce); both were forgettable unfortunately (1 star off). Bread was freshly baked in house and tasted amazing. Fresh basil leaves and lemon zest were added to olive oil, which was a nice change from traditional bread and plain olive oil. Service could be a little bit more attentive, because we were not given a plate to discard shells from our seafood pasta or a steak knife for steak. We had to ask for them specifically. LOL.
