Service was friendly and efficient, and my pesto pasta was quite scrumptious, especially in comparison to the disappointing pastas I had in Milan, prior to arriving in Como. The house-made pesto sauce tasted fresh and dare I say, bold. Mind you, I've had better pastas before right here in LA, but they didn't come with breathtaking views like Cervo does. You have to walk ~15 minutes through a neighborhood and outlook point to get here (very pretty walk through a quiet street with villas that ends in a scenic view of the lake and Como). If you go during an off hour (we went around 4pm), it should be pretty quiet - it does pick up a lot more around meal times. Menu prices are affordable, especially considering the amazing views - just unmatched. The couple that runs the cafe is also super sweet and hardworking. We got a mocktail, gelato, and sorbet, and ended with some lasagna and pasta. I'd recommend the drinks and ice cream. Highly recommend you check this out!

It was so fun taking the Funicular up to the top of the mountain and taking photos and just stopping IN AWE the whole route up there. The owner and his wife are so kind and hospitable. The food was unreal (we had the bruschetta, bolognese, and tiramisu) as was the wine. The music playing helped keep the ambiance romantic while the customer service made the experience unforgettable. The rooftop view of the lake at night time was amazing no matter which room we were seated in. The service was fairly average the first night but quite good the second. The kids pastas we ordered were inexpensive but fairly small, my seven year old son predictably ordered twice which was just about the right portion for him. My wife and I ordered the tomahawk steak for two. The temperature and seasoning were actually done fairly well but the steak was a tougher cut than I expected. We opted for pastas the second night and the carbonara ended up being a good choice that I'd recommend. Overall, some hits and misses but the ambiance and view are solid and worth trying this place out.
