So, on a beautiful fall day, I decided to make a trip there and see what it was about. Talk about picking a perfect day to walk a perfect place. Parked my car, grabbed my outdoorsy hat and went walking. You could say that this place is split in two, with a section around the Nature Center and a section all on its own. There were only a few people on the trail and they were friendly. It was an enjoyable walk around the Nature Center section. Even saw two fawn play around while their mother fed. If you like to walk some easy trails while enjoying nature, this place needs to be on your list.

There were no signs regarding age, so I saw no reason to refuse. There was another little boy about three back there, too. Both of them got up in the structure, couldn't see their mom and grandma and wanted to come out. The complexity of the structure made it confusing to find their way out and they both started screaming for us and panicked. The man at the front desk just kept on reading his book or phone and ignored the chaos. I am way too old to try to climb up into the thing so I was lucky that the young mother retrieved her son then went after my little guy. Much better supervision is needed there. I won't be back.

The building really is massive which we were not expecting…read more Our 20 month old still isn't walking unassisted and our house is so small that she can get anywhere while walking along and holding onto a table, chair, or couch. Ergadoozy has tons of open area to encourage her to take some independent steps! The little shopping carts she loves to hold onto and walk so while it's not totally independent, we'll take it, lol. We got the 6 month pass and it's already paid for itself with how often we've gone. I haven't had any other issues with kids or parents and everyone has been so polite, even helping my daughter stand back up when their kids might bump into her while playing. It's so nice to have a space for kids to be kids! It can be loud and busy, so if you aren't a fan of that maybe go later in the evening on weekdays when it's slower. I love that kids can run around yelling and be kids in a safe environment. It's also great for her to try new toys so we're building a nice Christmas list every time we go, lol. There's a gift shop inside too so we try to steer her away from that.

Duncan was the highest-ranking black officer to serve in the American Expeditionary Forces in Europe in World War I. There are three parking lots in the park, one along MacArthur Boulevard that can hold about 55 cars, one along Mason Street that can hold about 90 cars, and one along Salome that can hold more than 50 cars. The park does not have any vehicular traffic. However, a walkway connects the Mason Street parking lot with the MacArthur parking lot and brick shelter, passing the band shell. The restrooms were recently renovated in 2019 and now feature a modern playground system, three picnic shelters, and eight pickleball courts. The trail branches south to get to them. A brand-new disc golf course circles the park. The northernmost area of the park has a sledding hill. Picnic shelters, pickleball courts, an 18 hold disc golf course and a fitness court. The playground area includes a small zip line, see-saw and some other interactive toys. And the bandshell in the middle of the park looks like it's ready for the next music festival.
