After a while of looking around we decided on a bed and went to talk with the sales man, he was so friendly and helpful. He went through all the options discounts deliveries etc and managed to get us an amazing deal. The bed was delivered on time after about 2 days, and they helped set it up for us too! Overall a very good shop helpful staff would recommend for all your furniture needs.

Unfortunately due to geography and the way Lakeside retail park is laid out. It's not particularly walker friendly. The store is laid out in room style to encourage customers to recreate it rather than buy individual items. However IKEA caters for everyone from gay couples to family units with prices keenly designed to reflect all budgets. All very democratic and equal. The food in the cafe is cheap and fairly tasty but it could be better as everything is made off site before being assembled together insure. The cafe is messy as people don't clear their tables and IKEA keeps staffing levels low. After choosing your goods and before making your way to the checkout. Do take a quick peek at bargain corner. You may find damaged rubbish but you can also buy perfectly good ex display stuff. After the tills, I always look at the Swedish shop where they sell a range of frozen and long life Swedish groceries. I love the blackcurrant cured herrings and the reindeer salami.

Though in the middle of the car park it has a Burger King drive through in it, which can be very handy! The car park is quite a big car park, and as the odeon cinema never seems to be that full there are usually spaces. Asda Living is a very big store, it has 2 levels, with clothing for everyone on the 1st floor, and homeware, greeting cards, baby accessories, cds, dvds and other electricals on the ground floor. At the far end of the store near the dvds is a long customer service desk. The staff on here are hit and miss, sometimes you get a very helpful member of staff, and other times you get someone who cant be bothered. The till staff all seem to be friendly enough though. There is a small cafe on the 1st floor, but I have never sampled anything from there.

There is ample free parking outside the store. They sell a good range of furniture although the choice in each range is quite small. I would not call their style of furniture modern or contemporary but it is not old fashioned; A little in the middle. I bought a table and six chairs from there five years ago and the table lasted for 3 years after which the wood started to bow. It was quite cheap so I did not expect too much. I would not buy from them again though just because of this reason. If you do don't pay full price as they have some good sales.

I've been having problems with my bed claim for nearly 2 months, as the buck seems to get passed from Benson Beds to Kingsdown, back to Benson Beds, and then to myself, and back again. In all honesty, if you are looking at buying a bed from Bensons, please, please, please, don't buy anything other than their own make, as at least then, they can't get out of replacing the bed if still in guarantee. Final thought, check out any other bed supplier!
