I did the 1 hr pick I option, however, when I stopped in to check why I never received a confirmation email to pick up my photos half a day later they admitted they ran out of photo paper and several customers were affected. I wasn't in a rush and ended up coming back a few hours later when that confirmation email finally popped up on my smartphone. They didn't charge me the 1 hour photo price either which saved me half a buck or so. The photos are good quality. Can't complain too much. I'd use the photo center again in the future simply because their prices are cheap. For nine 4x6 photos I paid less then $2.

I wasn't given the manual and all I could find online were PDFs that would only load with Flash player (thanks iPhone) and websites of sarcastic owners scolding people to "read their manuals." I was completely SOL, about to miss the entire event I was supposed to record and there was probably no way they were going to refund the cost of the rental equipment. I pulled up Yelp and began seeing that all camera stores in my area where now closed (8:45pm on a Friday night), except for one who didn't list a closing time. I called. Trevor answered. He was just finishing up a shoot and was in my neighborhood. Minutes later, we were on the street, troubleshooting my dilemma. Within moments the issue was resolved. Trevor refused payment, shook my hand, and was off, like a superhero into the night, not looking for gratitude or reward...just out there, doing the right thing. Trevor, thank you so much! Next time I rent camera equipment, I'm coming to JFO first!

Been glad for a long time that they're around to rent from!

Over a year ago I ran into their booth at an Little Italy Art Walk...and accepted their "Box of Photos" scan package offer. The 1st cool thing was is that there was no expiration date on the offer, which helped me GREATLY, in that my pics to scan were over in Spain....and I only get their 1X / year. I eventually brought mine in almost two years after buying my package. After finally getting them recently I organized them, counted a total to make it below my Scandiego box limit and went on in. They do a very personal initial consultation when you present your pictures.....literally examining the condition of EACH one to ensure that it won't be damaged by their automated scanners. After having about 20 of mine disqualified (too delicate, small, etc.) I left them. Although they mentioned up to a 3 week wait (fine by me to avoid RUSH proce$$ing Co$t$), I was pleasantly surprised to be called yesterday to come get my DvD archive (a week early !). The pictures were scanned in pretty much the order I had...and quality surprised me. The best thing is that I can now do photo enhancements on my PC to crop and color change to my heart's content. I may even reprint several now that they are cropped MUCH better. I highly recommend this company....and don't miss the coffee / candy offered gratis around the store. Watch out for the guard dog though (Ha !!)

He is patient with questions and helping move the furniture around. It is a great studio with so many backdrops to choose from. There is a bluetooth speaker to hook up to so you can play music. There are fans and air conditioning when it gets warm. It is private and a great spot. The pricing is very reasonable and I have a good time shooting here. I wish it was closer to North County, so I could utilize it more often.
