We worked on the design I wanted and he told me they'd probably be ready Wednesday, maybe Tuesday. Great, I went home and around 5pm I got an email stating they were done! Not even one day. We didn't have the best experience and I wanted to share why, in case it helps others ask the right questions beforehand. Tina was lovely and very easy to talk to. I initially asked for a quote but never received one. I assumed it would be sent along with the pictures of the bags before they started the work, but it didn't arrive until after the work was completed. We were having our daughters' names embroidered on school backpacks and two patches heat-pressed onto them. My daughters spent time discussing the placement of the embroidery in detail, and at no point were we told that certain placements might cause issues. When we picked the bags up, we discovered that part of the front pocket had been sewn shut due to the embroidery placement. This was never discussed with us in advance, and unfortunately, the kids use all the pockets--so that was a disappointment. When I called to ask why we weren't informed, the only response was "we meant to," which was frustrating. That's something I definitely would have wanted to know beforehand. Also, we were warned that heat-pressed patches may not last, but one was already peeling off right after pickup. So for anyone considering that option, I'd recommend skipping the heat press and going straight to someone who can sew them on. The experience wasn't a total disaster, but there were definitely preventable issues that affected our experience. Learn from my mistakes and ask more questions. read more

Let me start by saying I cannot say enough good things about this business! I was looking for someone to sew a dress for me from a pattern and someone suggested this business. I love to be able to shop locally and I live very close to the Downtown Henderson area, which I love for all of it's cute locally owned businesses that make it feel so much more like a community. I needed a dress sewn very short notice as a dress I ordered for Dapper Day at Disneyland was back ordered even though I'd ordered it nearly two months in advance. Michelle, the owner, took the challenge in stride. I had a pattern but as I am bustier and also larger in size she had to extend the pattern to make the dress work. Michelle was so kind and personable, she was very realistic about what I needed and she could have easily declined my request and turned me down because of the challenge of time and the work load. She was very kind and told me it was no problem and I dropped off the fabric and pattern to her and she said she'd have it ready by my date that I needed it, which was in about 12 days. She was absolutely reasonable in her costs to sew the dress for me, especially just because of the short notice. I also found out she does a variety of other things, which works perfectly for me as I love to make matching shirts for Disney trips and such, which she does screen printing and embroidery as well. I'm also getting married in October and she does alterations as well. I'll definitely be returning to her with my wedding dress to be altered and have cap sleeves added, to help make my veil from my mother's wedding veil, and to take in a few dresses that don't fit quiet right. I am so glad I found this shop and will be a repeat customer over and over due to the level of quality, kind and attentive customer service, and reasonable prices. Michelle is a delight to work with and is one of the locally owned gems in this city that mostly is chain retailers. I have an event coming up & I ordered a dress online & I hated it, I had to buy a whole new dress & being so short I had to find a place to alter it, I was nervous because I got this dress on Wednesday & I needed it by this Saturday I called to ask if this could even be done & I was nervous that the person on the other end of the phone call was going to be rude or give me attitude due to the short time period, ( with customer service these days you just never know ) instead Michelle said it could be done & I brought the dress in she was nothing but friendly understanding & kind!
