They have the comfiest personal lounge chairs, which recline so you can lay down and relax. Friendly staff, one guy even offered to take my trash when I was going to throw it away. Prices are great at the concession stand, at least compared to other movie theatres. I had a great experience and would visit again whenever I'm in Barrie.

It doesnt have the all night long arcade feel...so it's a bit different in experience. The atmosphere was like an empty recreation center; but would that ruin your experience NOOOO! It means you get premium service with no upcharge. Seats are comfortable, patrons are friendly. Washrooms are definitely clean. For a Saturday morning with two grownups seeing ninja turtles we definitely enjoyed being kids without hearing the screaming kids. :)

I dock a star because there was a snag or hole in the screen which I almost mistook for being in the movie at one point! Service was good and the theater was nice and clean. I found the decor dated but I think the chain looks this way. at the entrance of the cinema there's a cute room for birthdays and such for kids which I really like. Popcorn was good and fresh and I was very pleased with the smoothies. One doesn't always associate theaters with smoothies.

Haha) and it was once again a lovely experience. We had a voucher for 2 free tickets and 2 free popcorns and drinks. I purchased the tickets online and paid $10 extra for the premier seats. We saw the 9:45pm show and the theatre was pretty dead. The staff working the concessions were friendly and fast. The premier seats are next level. This is luxuryyyyy. We really enjoyed the electric reclining chairs and the side tables are so convenient for your popcorn! I don't wanna sit in a basic seat again lol. The whole thing was once again a pleasant experience. They really ain't got nothing on Cineplex. Oh, but Landmark could probably renovate their washrooms cuz they STILL have those faucets that you press and have to rush to finish washing your hands lol.

Same price you pay at other theatres, but the chairs are large, comfy, and recline as well. And the theatre itself is kept quite clean, which for me goes a long way. Since I like my shoes. First off, if you're looking for a 10 screen, 5 showings each hour place; look elsewhere - the Roxy has only 2 screens (multiple titles alternate in showings). But "quality, not quantity" is the result. The Roxy reminded me of how a night at the movies use to be: * reasonable prices - $10 regular ($7 matinee and Tuesday's) * no price gouging concessions. I got popcorn and a drink for under $10 * intimate showing (seating for 100 or so) * old Hollywood motif in the lobby. Though the Roxy has the old Hollywood charm, the technology is not lacking. The interior is up-to-date, and it's screens & sound are on par with the big chain theaters. I applaud you Roxy as you bring charm back to the Silver Screen experience!

I heard this was a cool, quaint and original type cinema so was excited to see this movie in a theatre so 'raw' For starters, went for a 1pm matinee, there was a decent line of people waiting to buy tickets, there was only one attendant working the box office and even being half an hour early, and only about 10 people back, I started being concerned I would make it in, in time for the movie based on how slow the attendant was working. Positive point was the matinee was only 7$!! OK only took about 12 long minutes to get in, so there would be 18 minutes to grab concessions and a seat. Seeing the line for popcorn, decided to grab seats first, and I would venture back for snacks after a seat was acquired. Thankfully we did, as the theatre was rather full (two birthday parties) Went back to the popcorn line which was longer than when I entered the theatre, 15 minutes to showtime approximately, three people working the stand.... I know it is not rocket science to move popcorn and soda, but at points all three are serving one customer. More than once. Thankfully people were getting fed up and leaving the line due to the excessively long wait, so moved up bit by bit. I watched one person take an order, repeat it to the person who was next to them, who likely heard it as clearly as I was hearing it, who then would delegate either the popcorn or soda to the third, and fetch the other item themselves. If I did not have my five year old son with me who would not survive a movie without popcorn or drink, I would have ditched this ludicrous situation and stewed in my seat popcornless. But... Got my fresh popcorn, real butter, and soda (two orders actually) for the amazing semi low price of 22$ in a big theatre, that basically is the cost of one order. So into the theatre, one minute after 'start' and the previews had not started. I guess they knew how long the popcorn line was so they delayed the previews maybe 8 minutes. The seats were big and comfortable, semi reclining. With a fair bit of leg room. So that was a plus, and the had a seat booster for my boy, do another plus for that. The movie looked and sounded great, no 3d or imax or collosus or whatever but it was a pretty good experience. Maybe some more experienced staff when dealing with a movie this big on the first matinee of the Christmas break in opening week.. We had planned to watch Fantastic Four during the last show and booked two special-needs seats online. Parking downtown already costs more than the tickets for two, but we were looking forward to a relaxing evening. About twenty minutes into the film, a staff member approached us to explain that one of the "seats" we had booked was not actually a chair at all, but the space reserved for a wheelchair. This crucial detail was never made clear on the booking site. Unlike other accessible venues--such as the TTC or most theatres--that allow guests to choose between using their own wheelchair or a provided seat, this cinema offered no alternative except an awkward mid-show refund. The situation was uncomfortable and completely ruined our night out. Although the management responded publicly on Google in a caring and professional tone, two follow-up emails since then have gone unanswered. I hope Imagine Cinemas takes accessibility concerns seriously and improves both its booking transparency and customer follow-up.

First and last time visiting this location if I can help it.
