I was told that they could not see me because I did not have my Medical card with me and that, if I wanted to be seen, I would have to pay out of pocket. I had an appointment in June, but the clinic called me and told me that the machine was not working and that I needed to reschedule because they could not perform the mammogram. They rescheduled me for August 13, but while I was on my way to the appointment, they called me and said that there was no staff available to perform the mammogram, so they had to cancel my appointment. They then rescheduled me for August 17. Once again, they called me and told me that the machine was not working. At that point, I became frustrated and asked to speak with the manager. I was initially given a phone number that did not work. Eventually, I was able to get the manager's phone number. Her name is Maria, and her number is 1 (510) 812-9237. I called her about 10 days ago and left her a voicemail, but she never returned my call. Then today, after everything I have already been through, my appointment was canceled simply because I did not have my Medical card with me--even though I was already there and had arrived early. The employee who assisted me was an Asian woman. I do not remember her name, but she was working there today at approximately 4:30 PM. Her attitude was very unpleasant, and she was not helpful at all. She did not try to offer me any options or find a way to help me avoid canceling the appointment. Instead, she simply canceled my appointment. She also seemed more interested in being on her cell phone than helping me. What kind of customer service is this? Why are the employees at this location so unfriendly and unwilling to find a solution or an alternative to help patients instead of simply canceling their appointments? The clinic has already canceled my appointment three times--once because the machine was not working, another time because there was no staff available, and another time because the machine was not working again. And now, when I finally show up for my appointment, they refuse to see me because I did not have my Medical card with me. I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated and with the lack of professionalism and customer service at this clinic. Unfortunately, I can now understand why they have such poor reviews.

The imaging services provided here aren't typically covered by dental insurance plans. And even if there is a slight chance that they are, this place does not provide insurance billing services - meaning, you have to pay out of pocket and handle insurance reimbursement on your own. I needed to get a high resolution CT scan of my mouth to see how close my nerves were to the roots of my wisdom teeth. Basically, if they were really close, there was a chance the nerve could get damaged and I would lose sensation in my chin. Random, yes, but also quite unsettling. So, I end the debate and decide on getting the $395 CT scan. As I walk in, I notice that the facility is quite dated and there is only a single lady behind the front desk. She spoke quite muffled, but when she said "We don't deal with any insurance!" it seemed to resonate the entire waiting room. She wasn't exactly pleasant and as I began to reconsider my hefty investment in this CT scan, I hear her typing on a 1945 Typewriter. Ummmm...please, front desk lady, I hope you'll use the $395 to upgrade to the 90's with something that at least has a monitor. The actual scan wasn't that bad. I just had to hold still for about 18 seconds. The x-ray tech was really nice and helpful. He showed me how my images turned out and explained what would happen before they send the final product over to my oral surgeon. All in all, he was a great guy. Pluses for the friendly x-ray tech but minuses for the archaic ambiance and the not-so-welcoming front desk lady = just an average review.

Even though I went first thing in the morning, I still had to wait behind a few other people who had made appointments.
