I get there to be told there are no techs who can read it, there aren't any urgent care centers that have techs available at the moment (there is a shortage), and that I should go to Yorktown Imaging. They were very nice there and I have no compaint about them. I went to Yorktown Imaging at 6:30pm and got an xray. They even gave me a disk. They told me it would be on my portal that night. Mind you, I'm driving about an hour now with a possible broken bone in my right foot. No, there is no one who can take me. That is beyond my control at the moment. I get to Yorktown Imaging around 6:30pm and they take an xray. They told me I would get a result that night. Never happened. The urgent care center called them, and they were told it would take 3-5 days to get it read because they were not part of Northwell Health. Yorktown Imaging was fully aware that I went to an Urgent Care Center that was not part of Northwell Health, and that my doctor was not a part of Northwell Health. I told them my doctor is part of Optum. They told me that they can read their system no problem. Since the doctor who wrote the script was from the Urgent Care place, they kept telling me the results would be sent to them, even though I filled out the form telling them where to send it to my doctors with their name and phone number. They didn't really care about anything else and seemed to be keeping to the 3-5 days to read it. I had numerous nurses call them trying to get the results. It took a total of 22 hours, and 3 solid hours of phone calls from me to get the results read. This was for a possible broken bone that was very painful. I would have gone to the ER, but it was a much farther drive, and all highway driving. I thought it would be faster (and cheaper) to go to an urgent care office. I am immunocompromised and would rather not spend 5 hours in the ER. My bad, eh? After that, I couldn't go to an ER because the insurance company is not going to pay for a second xray and an emergency room visit when I already went to urgent care and had an xray done. And they shouldn't have to. I am so disgusted with how this was handled I can't even contain myself. Yorktown Imaging sucks when it comes to an emergency. The healthcare centers in northern westchester need to get their shit together. No one should have to wait 22 hours to get an x-ray of a possible broken bone read. It is completely unacceptable. And it is the healthcare systems fault, not necessarily the employees, but the radiologist who read the results should have know better.

First time coming to Hudson Valley Radiology. At first my appointment was set for the Yonkers…read morelocation but I was called and asked if I could move to the Tuckahoe location because the tech at Yonkers got sick. So needing my CAT scan I opted for the Tuckahoe location. So it's in a nice location: not sure if they have a parking lot or garage for guest but I ended up parking in the street. Which was fine because I was right in front of the building. You call them to let them know you're outside and they let you know when to Come in for COVID reasoning. The lady at the front desk already had my paper work ready. All I had to do was verify my paper work and initial. I was in the waiting room. They had guard shields between all the chairs so you weren't in close contact with anyone. It wasn't a long wait which was nice. And then once I was called in a nice lady who was the tech walked me to the room to get my scans. She was very kind and generous. And then she walked me out and I was done. Overall it was a nice experience. Only thing I would recommend is turning on the lights in the hall and in the waiting room cause it was kind of dark and felt a bit weird.

Imagine my surprise several weeks later when I received a bill for 3 services, one of which was never performed. I'll be reporting these deceptive practices to NYS Insurance Board. Fortunately I have means to pay the outstanding bill, but it's unconscionable that they bill for services not requested and not provided.
