Arriving in St Gallen at the end of our journey from Fort Worth, TX we had some down time while our ride came for us. She wanted a Starbucks, and I found myself eyeing this German pretzel counter with glass cases packed with shelves of cheesy, meaty pretzels. I went with a cheese and butter pretzel called Pretzel Rösti that was outstanding. The pretzel itself was soft and bready without being gooey. I asked the guy to warm it for me and would have enjoyed it even warmer. But once I'd bitten into it I didn't want give it back! It's German fast food I think. Definitely not the healthiest thing. But man was it yummy!
